“Sushi City is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. I have been coming here for years and the place only has gotten better. They just completed their third remodel. Now the restaurant has a super sleek and modern aesthetic. They also increased the number of booth seats they have.

This is an all you can eat (AYCE) sushi restaurant and their selection is huge. You get the usual appetizers, nigiri, and basic maki rolls that you would expect from a AYCE sushi restaurant, but this place gives you more! They have always allowed you to order their specialty rolls (their best roll being the torched dragon roll), but they recently added carpaccio plates, ramen, and dessert. Their prices have gone up over time, but I still consider them a great value for everything that they offer you.

And it is not just about quantity and variety. This restaurant upholds its quality. Other AYCE sushi restaurants give you lower quality fish and hide it by smothering it under lots of heavy sauces. But at Sushi City you can taste the quality of their fish (just order a salmon or tuna nigiri and taste how fresh it is).

The wait staff also is amazing. They are super prompt with everything. This place used to have a robot that served the appetizers. It was a fun novelty. The robot disappeared after the last renovation. Hopefully it will come back some day..

I hesitated to write this review since my home town is Downers Grove and this place is pretty well known to those in DG. However, you should know this place is amazing. The evidence of this is that it is the only surviving store front on that side of the strip mall they are located and another AYCE sushi restaurant (that is a fairly well known chain) that used to compete with them on 75th street closed down awhile ago. I love it at Sushi City and hopefully you will too.“

“My boyfriend and I came in on New Years Day and we was the only 2 in there which was no issue. The food was EXCELLENT, wish there was bigger portions but the food was top notch. I do NOT eat sushi but I did this night because of my boyfriend and it was SO GOOD. Great job...will be back.“

“Had the best experience dining here with coworkers. Jess was our server and was warm and welcoming, offering suggestions and pairings, and had the beat timing- we never felt rushed or interrupted. The martinis and crafted cocktails were as delicious as they were beautiful. Appetizers were delicious and the portion size was great- don't miss the brussel sprouts! Now the sushi... wow- creative and meticulously prepared rolls and sashimi with a menu that has something for everyone-- and the vegan options are incredible! Can't wait to come back. Our table was the furthest from the bar and we ordered 2 rounds of martinis. They filled those martinis to the top- and I mean the top. The server walked all the way from the bar (slowly) and did not spill a single drop. We were more than impressed! Love a full martini glass!“

We always come here for lunch and the lunch special for chicken is 12.99$ and that includes salad and soup. This place also doesn't up-charge for fried rice!

“I kinda consider myself a sushi connoisseur! This was my first time here and I just did take out lunch special sushi and it was AMAZING!! Most places one or 2 things is ok but yet all around never really hit the mark well this place is different! Quality ingredients and the chef properly using his amazing knife skills they really show off on the sashimi!! Somethings as simple as the spicy tuna roll and miso soup just done perfect!! Pot stickers and sauce to go with as well just spot on!! If you are in the are looking for your new go to sushi spot you just found it bc I know I did!!“
