“This is absolutely a one of a kind experience! My mother and I did the “Decadent Omakase” as it was our first visit. Lee, our waiter was amazing. All of the staff that helped us were so informative and kind! The flavor in each selection was beyond this world. It was pricey but worth every single penny. I have never had a better experience in my life. The Omakase was EIGHT COURSES. Every one being perfectly curated. I cannot wait to go back.“

“Decided to try this place based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. The menu has so many options even if you don't like raw fish—the chicken teriyaki and gyoza were delicious. The white tuna was incredibly buttery and fresh. Will absolutely be a regular here.“

“We almost gave this place one star… because they have completely ruined sushi everywhere else for us. The quality here is on another level. The fish is incredibly fresh, the cuts are perfect, and every roll feels intentional and balanced. Nothing is overdone or drowned in sauce. You can actually taste the ingredients. Now every time we try sushi somewhere else, it just does not compare. The standard has officially been set, and unfortunately for every other sushi restaurant, this is it. Consistently exceptional. This has become our go to spot.“

“They have super good Japanese sea urchin that I’ve never had before, they even offer a unique way to serve it. Which I have tried the uni shooter with quail egg and it’s soo good! Their toro sushi is super worth it compared to the ones in the city and super high quality. Definitely recommend it!“

“My husband and I recently discovered this gem!!! We don't live in Glen Ellyn and we started coming in July and have already been back 8 times! The fish is the freshest, the rolls/sashimi beyond delicious, the service and all the staff are always so nice and thoughtful. we can't wait to reserve their private seating floor room soon too. Highly recommend.“

“This was our first visit at Sun Moon Sushi and we were amazed. We walking in the restaurant was very tidy and clean and the staff super welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed with a small town vibe. We were recommended the country roll by the staff and I must say I will dream of that roll for days. Definitely will return to dine here again specially with how accommodating they were finding the quiet spot in the restaurant for my baby to take her nap“

“This is a smaller establishment so service can be hit or miss. Seating is limited so you sometimes feel like you are right on top of the party next to you. The selection of options though for the all you can eat sushi is extensive. Always have to get an order of the edamame and crab Rangoons!“

“The best sushi in the western suburbs……but it painful to order from here. They’re careless on their orders so double check. Their customers double park and Elmhurst police must have an arrangement with them to allow it. So don’t use York road on weekend dinner time when you drive away possibly with a delicious mistaken order. Below is my sashimi order (lol).“
