We went back for the first time in years a few weeks ago and were absolutely delighted by everything. “Best Sushi Restaurant on the planet. Not only was all the food superior than any other Sushi restaurant I've been to. My family and I had a feast.(I mean all the food was good). Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. The ambiance of this establishment is very warm and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for family gatherings, and with people you want to share a special food feast with. It's pure laughter and joy. Thank you Quam for your kind recommendations on food selections. My family and I had the time of our lives, as if we were on vacation. Thank you! “A really great lunch spot to dine and chat with friends!! I came during the “lunch special” hours of 11-3. Service was immediate and very friendly. Both specials we chose also included a rich miso soup. The tempura batter was perfection, crispy and light but not greasy. Everything was presented in a way that was pleasing to the eye. I will definitely return!!“

“Amazing service, 10/10 atmosphere, and yummy sushi 🍣 😋. I highly recommend this place. Sushi was also fair priced in my opinion, because I ordered a signature roll and it brought 10 pieces... price was at roughly $17 before tax. I feel like its a cozy vibe for eating alone or with some friends 😀. Waitress was kind and very attentive to anything I needed. The roll I got is called the Cubs signature roll I believe.“

“This is absolutely a one of a kind experience! My mother and I did the “Decadent Omakase” as it was our first visit. Lee, our waiter was amazing. All of the staff that helped us were so informative and kind! The flavor in each selection was beyond this world. It was pricey but worth every single penny. I have never had a better experience in my life. The Omakase was EIGHT COURSES. Every one being perfectly curated. I cannot wait to go back.“

“The best sushi in the western suburbs……but it painful to order from here. They’re careless on their orders so double check. Their customers double park and Elmhurst police must have an arrangement with them to allow it. So don’t use York road on weekend dinner time when you drive away possibly with a delicious mistaken order. Below is my sashimi order (lol).“

“On 4/1/2026 i visited Sakura, i quickly found out it is a HIDDEN GEM! I had the hibachi combnation noodles and for $17.89 you get A MEAL they cooked the steak,chicken and shrimp to perfection! “This place is such a wonderful dining spot for a girls’ night out! From the moment we walked in, our waitress greeted us with such genuine delight. She was warm, friendly, and set such a positive tone for the evening.
Then came Carlos, who completely elevated our experience. He was attentive, understanding, and incredibly talented. I can be pretty particular with food, and when I told him exactly how I like my salmon, he went above and beyond. The result was even better than I expected! The flavors were perfect, the presentation was beautiful, and his service was outstanding from start to finish.
Between the amazing food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the exceptional service from both our waitress and Carlos, we felt so comfortable and well taken care of. This spot is definitely a must-visit if you want great food and even greater service!“

“They have super good Japanese sea urchin that I’ve never had before, they even offer a unique way to serve it. Which I have tried the uni shooter with quail egg and it’s soo good! Their toro sushi is super worth it compared to the ones in the city and super high quality. Definitely recommend it!“
