American Restaurants near Roodhouse

“My husband and I live in Granite City and yesterday we made the trip to Manchester, IL (near Roodhouse) to visit my husband's dad's grave. On the way home we stopped here. It was obvious from the second we walked in that it was family-owned type of place. Very welcoming and friendly environment. Our waitress was the owner's daughter, and she couldn't have been sweeter. We split a double cheeseburger, fish and fries. Very good food and service! We definitely plan to go back, and we would absolutely recommend this place to others. :-)“

“If you like ice cream, this is the pinnacle! People from as far away as Decatur come to get ice cream. My favorite Is a small Turtle Heavenly Delight. Small is a great understatement. I am not going to explain everything. I can only tell you that farmers all around and their families frequent the place. So if you like going on adventures...venture their!“

“Food was good and hot. Had a burger, breaded chicken sandwich, regular and curly fries. Order at counter and they bring it to you. Restroom was clean. This was our first time there. Will visit again when in the area. They have lots on the menu as well as ice cream“
