Reminds me of great taco joints in Cd. Juarez. Prices were great too. Food was made fresh because when I got my tacos and they were so hot I couldn't hold them long. Chicken tacos were excellent. “It's hard to find Mexican restaurants to get absolutely everything right, this is the one. Rice and beans were great, Pollo a la Mexicana was the perfect amount of taste and spiciness. The cheese stretches multiple feet into the air like it was real fresh cheese melted to perfection. I can't recommend this place enough. The building is very cute and the staff is super nice.“

“Tried this place out for the first time recently. Ordered a couple of Al Pastor tacos and a Carne Asada burrito to go. Took a seat off to the side while I waited for my order to be cooked. The interior of Javi's, although compact, is very clean and tidy. They have a quaint dining area with several places to sit and eat. After a short wait, I received my food and headed home.

The burrito was great. They used good quality, well-trimmed, and seasoned grilled steak with no gristle or chewy bits. It was also loaded to the gills with cheese, beans, lettuce, sour cream, and tomato. It was a hot, delicious, greasy mess that left me all sweaty and desiring a nap afterward. It was a very drippy and somewhat sloppy burrito, so you should have plenty of napkins and wet wipes on hand. It's probably not an ideal car ride snack or meal.

The Al Pastor tacos were also fantastic. Savory and succulent well-marinated, then grilled pork with fresh and aromatic white onions and cilantro cradled within perfectly dense yet pillowy corn tortillas. Very good tacos. And their salsas were excellent. The red, in particular, packs a very subtle, smokey, and spicy punch.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my first experience. The portions were filling and delicious, the prices seemed fair, and their service is quick and efficient. I'll definitely be returning to try out their other menu items. Come on over and check them out. Cheers, Javi's Burritos!

We recently visited this charming restaurant located conveniently on Plum Grove Road and Higgins, with easy access from entrances on both sides of the building (formerly a McDonald’s). It was our first time dining here, and the experience was fantastic from the moment we stepped inside.

The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. When we mentioned it was our first visit, they went out of their way to explain the menu and highlight the house specialties. We started with chips and salsa, and what a treat! They served four varieties of salsa, each made fresh in-house. The flavors were unique and absolutely delicious—some of the best chips and salsa we've had in a while.

For our main dish, we opted for the fajita combo. The staff kindly asked how we preferred the steak, which we appreciated as it showed their attention to detail. When the sizzling fajitas arrived, they didn’t disappoint. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The chicken was equally amazing—juicy, well-seasoned, and just as satisfying.

The tortillas were kept warm in a tortilla warmer, which was a nice touch and exactly how I like them served. The sides of rice and beans complemented the meal perfectly. The rice was light and flavorful, and the creamy refried beans rounded out the plate.

The location is just three miles from our house, which makes it even more appealing for a quick and satisfying meal. We can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out—you won’t regret it!“

“Came from TikTok. Food was great had queso birrias, asada fries. Table was dirty had to have them clean it. had to ask for silverware it wasn’t placed with our food. Wasn’t directed to grab my drink out the cooler had to ask to make sure it was okay. But overall the food was great. napkins was on the wall? To make services better provide the information where the items are and greet with a smile. My opinion the silverware should be out on the counter if your not gonna put it on the trays.“

Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“
