“So far I’ve eaten at Vasco’s twice with my coworker. The food is delicious. It is perfectly spiced, chicken is cooked to perfection and not dry. The garlic sauce is very tasty. It is very clean. The people working there are extremely nice and helpful. My coworker doesn’t know much about Indian food so she had a lot of questions. They were patient and answered all of the. The owner came to our table both times we were there to ask how things were. It is a place that you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We are already planning our next visit.“

“One of the best restaurants in Chicago! The lunch special is my favorite - the most flavorful kabobs and rice (I upgrade to the Kabuli style rice). I also love the Kabuli Palaw (lamb shank). Service is always efficient and friendly. Afghan Kabob is worth a visit even if you're not in the area!“

“I’ve been to this restaurant many times. Their food is amazing (I highly recommend all of their noodles and beef dished), but be aware that the service can be less satisfying for larger groups. They try to serve the food warm, but this means the dishes don’t always come out together. There’s also an 18% party-size fee.“

“We stopped here on a whim while we waited for a tire repair at the local Firestone. Super friendly staff. Lots of customers coming in to place orders. My husband daughter ordered fries chicken and chicken tenders with fries and they did warn us it would take twenty mins because they cook them fresh to order. They were the crispiest, tastiest, flakiest pieces of chicken. The fries were awesome too. I had a single chicken taco and it was fresh, flavorful and delicious! We also ordered some bubble tea blended drinks that were good. I'm glad we stopped here.“

“We were searching for a restaurant nearby and came across Wah! Taj. The reviews were really good so, decided to try it and I am glad we did. The kiddo got the combo bowl with daal n rice and chicken 65 and we got chicken biryani and the fish fry …. Everything was just so fresh and delicious and just felt like a good homemade meal. We also got Gajjar ka halwa for dessert and were just impressed with the quality of the food and the warmth and friendliness of the host. We will definitely be back for more 😀“

“I got the Hot Chick at a Medium spice level and it was so good, crispy and juicy. Had the longest cheese pull I've ever experienced with a mozzarella stick. My boyfriend got the Smash Cheeseburger and that was also super super tasty, he got it with the smash peppers. The staff was so friendly and helpful as well. Definitely coming back soon.“

“For the amount and quality of food you get for the price, this place is a steal. After traveling all day and parking at the Cumberland Blue Line, we came down the road to Bab Alsalam and I cannot rave enough how amazing this place is and will be coming back each and every single time we travel out of O'Hare. The food was not only delicious, but so much flavor punched into every bite. We ordered a Chicken Shawarma Entree and the Mixed Shawarma and both were exceptional in taste. Comes with salads, pita bread, and incredibly flavorful hummus. Attached is a photo of how much food they give you. It's massive. We had enough for leftovers the next day. HIGHLY recommend this place and I'm already trying to find a way to make my way back to Chicago just to eat at this place again lol. Thanks for the amazing service!“

“Took my date here from dinner as she recommended, and was pleased as punch that it was as good as she advertised! Service was lightning quick, atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the food was divine. It was my first time having Indian cuisine, and it did not disappoint one bit! I had the Butter Chicken and my date had the Cheese Dosa. Both came out hot and appetizing, and the Butter Chicken tasted amazing. 10/10, would absolutely eat here almost every day if I could.
Edit on 08/15/2026: Went back her for dinner again and it was still a banger. Get the Mushroom Cheese Dosa, it's so good.“

A burger joint in a strip mall doesn’t inspire confidence, but you walk into this cozy place, with attractive wall murals, and somehow you get the feeling that you’re in the right place. We were in a rush, so came here for a quick lunch - ordered the following: double cheeseburgers, peri peri burgers, veggie samosa burger (off menu) and mango habañero wings….and EVERYTHING was fantastic!!! The double cheeseburgers were juicy, and succulent, the peri peri grilled chicken burger was tender and saucy, the wings were absolutely delicious, crisp despite the mango habañeeo sauce which had the perfect level of sweet heat. Lastly, the veggie burger - so the menu has FANTASTIC samosas, so when we asked if they had a veggie burger, they told us they can prepare a delicious burger using their veggie samosa. Imagine our skepticism, and then our utter shock, when it turned out to be the most delicious spicy, saucy samosa burger we have ever sunk our teeth in! Overall, an excellent experience, but with all the personnel exuding immense warmth and gracious hospitality. Definitely coming here OVER and OVER again!!! Yum!“

“My twin and I stopped by this burger joint nearby and ordered burgers with fries. All I can say is that everything was made really well. The burgers were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, while the fries were crispy without being overly oily like they are at some other places. “Okay, my friend and I were in Elmwood Park and she was craving a burger. Quick Google search revealed Burger Moovement. We had no idea what to expect. Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised by how good the burger and the chicken sandwich were. DELICIOUS!!! The restaurant is clean. The staff are friendly and professional. Everything is fresh. It was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. And they easily accommodated my request to customize my sandwich. We will be going back. Oh, and the thin fries were fabulous. You should check them out.“

“I had mixed feelings about my visit to Port of Peri Peri. The food was honestly excellent and full of flavor, so I have no complaints about the quality of the meal itself.

However, the customer service really let the experience down. The staff didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and when I asked questions, they either didn't respond properly or didn't seem interested in helping. The dining area also looked like it needed more attention—several tables were greasy and didn't appear to be cleaned promptly, which made eating in feel a bit unhygienic.

If you're planning to try this place, I'd recommend ordering takeout instead of dining in.
