“Visited during lunch of Veterans Day and had one of their free meals. The experience was one of the best. I do have to give a shout out to the floor manager/supervisor. It was amazing to see how engaged he was in the floor operation. From seating people, to filling drink orders, and wiping tables he was on it. Thank you for a great meal, and I appreciate what you do for Veterans each year.“

“There is nothing about this place I don't recommend. The meads are amazing, their Cocktail Master is amazing at coming up with unusual combinations, and is great fun to talk to. The music mix is great as well (but possibly because I'm old 😁)! Overall, the place is extremely welcoming, with a selection of games and sofas so you can sit and enjoy your drinks and socialize.“

“Since its transformation into Taylor’s on Toft, this bar has established itself as one of Antioch’s most polished and welcoming drinking destinations. The owner—often found behind the bar—sets the tone with a warm, personable presence that immediately makes guests feel at ease. Her cocktail craftsmanship is equally impressive: the Manhattan is exemplary, balanced and precise, while the martinis are consistently excellent, executed with confidence and restraint. The ambiance strikes an ideal note—refined yet relaxed—making it a natural choice for a pre-dinner aperitif or a lingering post-meal nightcap. During a recent visit, a live singing group added a festive touch, infusing the space with genuine Christmas cheer without overwhelming the intimate atmosphere. While we have not yet sampled the food, dishes arriving at neighboring tables are beautifully presented and look enticing, suggesting the bar program is thoughtfully complemented by the kitchen. Taylor’s on Toft is a standout in Antioch: a place defined by gracious hospitality, expertly made cocktails, and an atmosphere that invites return visits. Highly recommended.“

“I totally enjoy the skill of all the wait staff, their ability to inform, enjoy conversation, and do the run down on what the band is like. Owners Tom & Karen are gregarious, fun, interesting people and provide GREAT talented local musicians. The music scene in Wauconda, Illinois is 10 out of ten...bar hopping encouraged. French Martini with Chambourg, an 11 and one drink, my limit...usually. Dancing...FUN! Especially when Karen agrees. Lol. And occasionally, or perhaps too often singing back up to Motown song fulfills my fantasy to be a Temptation, a Top, Little Stevie Wonder, or Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell. And yes, the Jackson 5. But there's no mountain higher than backup to a Supremes song, except for a Diana song, or Tina is Simply The Best! But Diana's he PEAK, & so is STRAWBERRY MOON. CHECK IT OUT. WAKANDA FOREVER, on Main Street“

“We had the use of Bliss from 1-5 on a Saturday when they are normally closed.
We hosted a birthday party with 45 people attending, had it catered locally, and hired a 3 piece band playing amplified acoustic music. Owner Alex bartended and did a wonderful job. It’s a lovely and comfortable old building in a great location with an owner that has his head in a very good place. We give it an 11 out of 10. Thanks again Alex.“

“I visit Johnsburg 1-2 times per year and I always work it into my schedule to stop in for a beer which turns into several. Friendly regulars and bartenders. Random people usually give me money to request songs on the jukebox for them which is pretty cool.“

“The new owners are doing a great job! Everyone at the table ordered something different - wings and wedges, the fried walleye and potato pancakes, fish fry and potato pancakes, fish fry and fries. Everyone’s plates were clean. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back soon!“
“We recently had a celebration of life party. The place was perfect large windows looking out to the water. The staff especially Max was such a great help in making sure the place was set up to our liking. We had so many people say how nice the place was and they never knew it was there. Definitely a hidden treasure. Would definitely recommend for your next party.“

“Wow, just WOW. Words cannot begin to describe just how pleased I am with my dining experience. Friendly staff, great food, and amazing atmosphere are just some of the things that contributed to my unforgettable experience. Not only was there little to no wait time, the workers were very patient and kind towards me while I was ordering my food. After receiving my food, the least I can say is that I was simply blown away. The portion sizes are immaculate and the flavors are unlike anything I’ve had before. I will definitely be returning here for my future meals and I can’t recommend it to others enough.“

The place needs to at least have a sign that says firehouse! It just looks like a plain white house, my friends have had a hard time trying to find it.
At least paint a "Firehouse with fire trucks" or even better do huge flames 🔥 to make it stand out. It always looks like it is closed, empty and uninviting.“

“I love this place! The people behind the bar and the customers are friendly. I’ve been there 4 different times. New Years Eve I went there with my daughter, she’s 42, we had a blast! I went there another time and they had 3 bands playing rock and roll. They were all great! I got people up dancing and then we really starting having a really great time! Another time I stopped in after church. I didn’t know anyone but everyone there felt like we were friends for years. Sorta like the TV show “Cheers”. I had a great time every time I was there. Again, I love this place!“
