“So, we usually head here after playing volleyball. It has really become a place where most of the locals go. It is a very interesting atmosphere cause most visitors know each other and bartenders know customers by name. You get a homely vibe when you enter. Great beer selection. The owner goes out of his way to introduce new beers from local or distant breweries. This place is one of the few which carries Zombie Dust from Three Floyds. Again, they have a great selection of beers. There is also gaming there. The food comes from Rosati's which is next door. Can't go wrong with having some wings, fries and pizza while enjoying drinks with friends. The bartenders make you feel welcomed which is a good reason to return often.“
“The Firecracker shrimp was amazing! I loved and hated it at the same time. Absolutely loved the flavor and texture of this dish. It became problematic , though, when I couldn’t stop eating the spicy goodness even as my face was melting and pooling at my toes. It was that good. Was it that hot? Well….. Mild sauce usually burns me up so you’re asking the wrong person. However it was a tasty challenge. The fries were the perfect crispy. So good that we went back the next day. I was tempted to get the shrimp again….So tempted. Hmmm…. Maybe tomorrow for lunch?? ? ? Great food and service.“

“Love Pips! My sister and I discovered this place a few months ago. Delicious hand crafted cocktails. Everything is house made from their infused liquors, all syrups and meads. Joy is a cocktail master! Matt is very personable and knowledgeable, he's the mead master, just don't ask him about pizza. lol. Joy has the low down on pizza delivery. I highly recommend this amazing Gurnee find. Only recommendation, turn down the bright lights.“

“Stop here a couple times a month. This is 100% dive bar. Overall it’s pretty worn down but kept pretty clean. The locals are friendly and typically interact with others. Food is pretty good and they have daily specials. There seems to be enough parking at least during the day. Bar tenders are friendly and do a good job with the service. Pool table, darts and gambling machines. A few tvs are typically playing some sports.“

“Fantastic food and atmosphere! The clam chowder was delicious. We shared the beer battered fried cod and the beer battered fried walleye dinners. Both were perfect with just the right amount of crunch and delicious fish. We loved it and will be back :) the bartender's service was great to boot! He even came to the table to check on us. “We went to cottage tap for the first time. We meet the new owner Steve who is a great guy. The place including the bathrooms were clean and well organize. Drinks are well portion and prices are very good. Definitely just found out little get away place and will be coming back soon and planning to introduce this place to family and friends. “When I was 12-13 years old in 1977, 1978 the owner of this establishment at the time, Joe Kidd, would pay me $2/hr to sweep and mop the floors on Saturday and Sunday mornings. On Saturday mornings he would lock me in the bar so he could go out to breakfast with his buddies. So, I would pour myself a tall, frothy mug of Old Style and stare at it for a while before pouring it down the drain. I live in South Carolina now, but in 2016 I took a trip around the country by Amtrak, stopped in Chicago and rented a car to take my wife to visit Wauconda. We came here and I sat at the bar and drank an Old Style beer and pointed out to my wife that the tile was the same as what I swept and mopped in 1977. Thanks for the memories.“
“I cannot express in words how amazing the wings were. I have never had anything like that. It was about 17.50 for 10 so I thought that was pricey at first but when they came out I realized it wasn't. HUGE wings cooked perfectly just absolutely phenomenal. Bartender Jenny was also really nice and you could tell she had regulars and cared about them. These wings are not what you expect. We will be back and are ditching KFC. We will get the Togo chicken from Kelly's pub!“

The first time I've been here was a couple years back when my friend had just turned 21 and we got (I'd say one of the best) bloody Mary's. Beers cheap and people are great! It was unfortunate that the older lady bartending seemed bothered by us ordering a Kentucky Mule with Makers. Her demeanor was surprising. Wish she would've been friendlier. There is no music in the place that you can hear. Pool table is a plus. They seem to have karaoke but looked like equipment was just laying around. Needs a little bit TLC.“

“I've been here a few times now since the change from Touch of Class and am always pleasantly surprised at the quality. The food is great, and usually exactly what I'm wanting. The chef has dropped by my table a few times after we've eaten just to make sure everything was good and what we were wanting. The service is always rather quick and polite too! The overall ambience seems to still be developing as time goes on but nothing bad. A great "burger" joint (with far more selections) that hopefully continues into the future.“

They had pool tables next room over and ,2 dart machine in the main part with the bar and the machine to gamble. If I was in that area again might stop by. I wouldn't go out of my way.
