“We had drinks and dinner at Mundelein restaurant on Saturday 10/5/24. We didn’t have reservations so we ate at the bar. It was all excellent! Friendly staff and the bartender made an excellent Margarita! Will be going back“

I came here for the first time about a month ago, and have since started coming to line dance every Wednesday and Friday! I live almost two hours away, but it is SO WORTH THE DRIVE!!! There are definitely closer dancehalls to where I live, but Sundance is by FAR my favorite!

There is a $10 cover, which is higher than some other places in the suburbs, but let me tell you you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

DJ Artie is the best of the best!! I love his willingness to take requests and play song swaps!! I also love how much seating there is!! It makes it super easy to rest or hang out with your friends when you arent dancing!!

They only do beginner lessons, nothing too advanced, but they are dances that would be super easy to pick up if you have never line danced before! Very accessible to everyone! As someone who is on the more advanced side of dancing, I still leave feeling like I got to dance to a lot of my favorite songs!! It’s a great mix of difficulty levels!

They also enforce dance etiquette like no drinks on the floor and no standing on the floor if you aren’t dancing!! Other dancehalls need to take notes!

I get a little anxious ordering from the bar because I haven’t had the greatest experiences with the bartenders, so I generally choose not to drink (I hope they were just having a bad day when I interacted with them!), but a lot of people have drinks on their tables and it seems like they feel totally safe leaving them there to go dance! Everyone looks out for each other!

Everyone has been SO kind and welcoming, from the dj to the regulars to even some of the BOUNCERS!! I know the negative/harsh responses to reviews on here may make you not want to go (because that’s how I was), but I promise once you get there the atmosphere is amazing!! I truly feel like I have been dancing there my whole life!

Overall, I could not recommend this place more!!!! If you are a line dancer, make the drive!! You won’t regret it!!“

“It's a convenient place to dine when staying at the hotel. The menu is very limited and provides your basic food distributor options. The ladies who were bartenders my first week there were great. On my return trip, there was a gent behind the bar, and he was not remotely close to as friendly or prompt as the ladies (one was in training-1st night) .“

“There is nothing about this place I don't recommend. The meads are amazing, their Cocktail Master is amazing at coming up with unusual combinations, and is great fun to talk to. “My husband just brought home food from Fogcutter, and as usual the food is amazing!! the pizza is my favorite in all of Lake County. I literally day dream about those garlic green beans. And this was my first time trying the mashed potatoes, and no shocker, fantastic! Thank you for being the best!“

“The evening we went it was very cold out so the restaurant was not extremely busy. This restaurant will be one of regulars. We shared small plates which were among the best we ever had. Wi has the bread, most delicious toppings, the tomotoes were outstanding. Along with bacon wrapped dates with pistachio. Llarge dates, with a warm honey sauce wrapped in bacon and topped with crumbles nuts. Equally good. The topper was the chacuterrie board. Best we've ever had. Uniquie cheeses and Meats along with apples, nuts and sweet dried cranberries. The owner explained about the cheeses and meats and where they came from. Very, very, good. And we enjoyed being informed. Our waitress, Jan was perfect. Introduceed herself and provided attentive yet not intrusive service. The chef stopped by our table as well. This would be our neighborhood favorite but is worth the travel, which was only 25 minutes for us.“

“I totally enjoy the skill of all the wait staff, their ability to inform, enjoy conversation, and do the run down on what the band is like. Owners Tom & Karen are gregarious, fun, interesting people and provide GREAT talented local musicians. The music scene in Wauconda, Illinois is 10 out of ten...bar hopping encouraged. French Martini with Chambourg, an 11 and one drink, my limit...usually. Dancing...FUN! Especially when Karen agrees. Lol. And occasionally, or perhaps too often singing back up to Motown song fulfills my fantasy to be a Temptation, a Top, Little Stevie Wonder, or Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell. And yes, the Jackson 5. But there's no mountain higher than backup to a Supremes song, except for a Diana song, or Tina is Simply The Best! But Diana's he PEAK, & so is STRAWBERRY MOON. CHECK IT OUT. “Bliss is a great spot to meet up with friends for a glass of wine or craft beer. It is a very chill atmosphere. The ownership has switched hands a few times. The current owner- Alex, is great. He is attentive and fun to chat with. I’m a big fan and will continue to hang out there when I’m in Wauconda.“

The place needs to at least have a sign that says firehouse! It just looks like a plain white house, my friends have had a hard time trying to find it.
At least paint a "Firehouse with fire trucks" or even better do huge flames 🔥 to make it stand out. It always looks like it is closed, empty and uninviting.“

“I love dive bars. Hilltop is perfect in my opinion. Cheap drinks, Great service and low lighting. Is there anything else we need for a good dive? It doesn't smell funky, which is hard to find in the area . Great place to play pool or gamble on your evening out.“

“Atmosphere was fun and festive, but with only two bartenders, it took forever to get drinks. I stood at the bar with money waving in my hand for over fifteen minutes. Staff was friendly and the fish looked clean. Typical noise level for a bar on a Saturday night with live music.
Thankfully, our friends got here early and held a table for us, otherwise it was standing room only.“

“While visiting family over Christmas, our group walked across the street to Charlie's because we noticed a lot of people going there. The place was packed with friendly, happy people. There was only one bartender and she hustled with intention, a smile and a great sense of humor. We played darts most of the time, but I couldn't help but notice the atmosphere. “First time visiting there and I was pleasantly surprised by the tasty lunch that I had. I had a veggie wrap which was delicious. Two other people had the veggie wrap and they liked it a lot as well, and somebody had a I think it was broasted chicken and that was devoured and somebody had a burger and that was cleaned up quickly. All seven of us who were there enjoyed our meals. Our server, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was very good and efficient without being intrusive. She was pleasant and ran everything very smoothly. She was young and blonde that's all I can say but she was very good. We were there Saturday the 28th at 11:30, in case the managers see this and want to do something nice for the server. The only reason the atmosphere was four stars is because as it got more crowded, naturally it became quite loud however that's to be expected with this type of restaurant. I will go again.“

“I love this place! The people behind the bar and the customers are friendly. I’ve been there 4 different times. New Years Eve I went there with my daughter, she’s 42, we had a blast! I went there another time and they had 3 bands playing rock and roll. They were all great! I got people up dancing and then we really starting having a really great time! Another time I stopped in after church. I didn’t know anyone but everyone there felt like we were friends for years. Sorta like the TV show “Cheers”. I had a great time every time I was there. Again, I love this place!“
