“Szechwan Palace is a charming small Chinese restaurant in Antioch. Currently, the atmosphere is a bit disrupted due to ongoing construction, but it still retains a cozy and inviting feel.
Food: I have visited Szechwan Palace numerous times and always enjoy the food. The drunken noodles and egg rolls are my favorites. On my last visit, I tried the Kung Pao beef, which was quite good but could use a bit more wok flavor. The soup, while tasty, could benefit from a bit more spice and the addition of shiitake or Chinese mushrooms, a touch more sourness, ginger, a hint of sugar, and some rice vinegar to enhance its flavor.
Service: The service at Szechwan Palace is consistently very good. The staff are polite and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Overall: Despite the current construction, Szechwan Palace remains a delightful spot for authentic Szechuan cuisine in Antioch. I look forward to returning and seeing the progress on the renovations and AUTHENTIC ASIAN FOOD !!!!!“

“My order was made to my taste and it was exactly and positively perfect. The lady taking my order was very pleasant and didn't mind my changes at all. After eating I called Panda to thank them again. My meal was cooked to perfection and enough to feed 3 people. What's my order??? If Sweet & Sour Chicken and Sesame Chicken had a baby. That would be my order. Can't wait to have again“

“My favorite local Chinese restaurant I love their Chop Suey and Kow. Their food reminds me of Chinatown. yes, it’s that good. Especially, the fried rice. It’s really good. They are currently just takeout, but that’s OK. I have been eating here for decades, and their food is very consistent,… consistently good! Eggrolls are delicious too. they surprise me every once in a while and give me a free egg drop soup which has become one of my favorites. Portions are always overflowing. I highly recommend this place.“

“I stopped in here while my rental car was charging and OMG 10/10 recommend. The teriyaki chicken was amazing and great value for the price. The egg drop soup soothed my very soul!
Parking: There’s 2 volt charging stations infront of the jewel-osco“

“Omg, the food here was so amazing! And we are very picky as asian foodies. Went here for my bday and they even did the cutest thing with putting a candle on a stack of almond cookies with fortune cookes surrounding it to sing to me. The waiter was polite and the wife of the cook, which I assume is also the owner, was extremely warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back and reccomend to our friends.“

“Best in the area! Alway fresh, hot & tasty! Beef lo mein-Cantonese style is my fav, beef is always tender and moist- and tastes like beef. Chicken fried rice is my chaser, tender chunks of chicken tastes great w/ a lil Soy sauce. *Egg rolls are made in store, fresh- many places have frozen ones shipped in. The only issue I encounter (Agee times) w/ the eggs rolls is they tend to overcook (look burnt) them, not a deal breaker but Hong Kong please take note *Pick-up only at this time due to COVID C***!“

“Didn’t get food from the Golden Kitchen in a fairly long time. Today I was impressed by the one woman show on display, cooking, packing the food, taking orders, and being as gracious as always. The food is good and the place exemplifies the family business model. I’ll go back more often to ensure that places like this stay in business.“

“I have gotten food from here many times. It’s always great. The owner is so nice and really cares about providing his customers great food. But yesterday I got the won ton soup for the first time, and I can honestly say, it is the BEST wonton soup I have ever had.“

“My more 'local' favorite Chinese take out place closed around 9 months ago (Chens in Palatine) and I've been looking for a new one since - after trying a dozen+ restaurants, I think this is the winner! It's a bit of a hike from lake zurich, but so worth it for good Chinese food! (I ordered our usual favorites: sesame chicken, pork lo mein, steamed dumplings, egg roll (and one that I don't always order with my kids, hot and sour soup). I have other favorites, but those ones are the "bare minimum" of "must be great")
(The Lo Mein - top right in the pic - is the one thing that I have been searching for someone else to get right since my last place closed.)
I also love that for the entree, for a small upcharge, you can swap the standard included white rice for a side of fried rice, or lo mein. We rarely ate much if any of the rice, but we will eat fried rice (lo mein as well, but I usually order that as a second entree!)“

“I didn’t take photos :(Went in here today for the first time. Ordered vegetable egg rolls, combo spicy fried rice, and shrimp chop suey. Egg rolls were yummy. The chop suey was fireeeeeeeee I loved it! Great flavor and good amount of shrimp and veggies. The reason for my 4 stars is the fried rice. Good flavor but oily. I didn’t like the oil feel on my lips. Besides that everything else was great. Service was great, they were friendly and waiting time for my food wasn’t long. Recommend!“

“Ordered late because I had work. Few places offer combos at night and I love this place now because they offer a small meal for 10$. Amazing pricing Woman was friendly and smiled even though she was the only one on the line at the moment. I had just seen the other person go to the bathroom. Food is awesome.“

“Sweet & Sour Chicken has the classic flavors, big portion of 14 pieces. Egg roll is large in size and delicious, with peanut butter flavor, included with the $10.75 price + a massive portion of pork fried rice is very tasty, easily 2 meals worth of food. Good crunch chicken batter and egg roll. Best quality and value for the price, I will order from them again, a new favorite.“

“The food was amazing and tasty compaired with other places around the area. Used to eat a lot of chinese food from different restaurants but this place beats by far others. I have been over 11 years here and I would recommend trying their dishes. Our experience for service and taste so far 10 stars and totally impressed. Keep up the good work!“
