It's a place full of locals that you can only find here!! It's got a fascinating back story and a ton of not just local history but Chicago history.! This is one of the places that the Irish Mafia used to hang out in!!! A place where the murder mystery is alive and unsolved!!! You come to a place like this and you can feel the history, feel it in your soul!! You want to check this place out!!! Ask anyone here about the history and they will tell you straight out!! Are you in the mood for a drink??? Get it here!! Are you in the mood for a quick bite?? Well you can get it here too along with a nice fresh tap or bottle of what ever beer you like!!! So let me tell you that if you are a ghost hunter?? You can find some ghosts here!! Are you a ghost buster?? Don't come here because they like their ghosts!! I hope this helps!! “This is our go to bar every week for our hockey team it's clean and safe drinks are cold and delicious and prices are great the owners are very nice and generous made our group a pizza the other night they have a juke box and a pool table and gaming machines good vibes and good people here.“

“This is a review for Nightshade. To get there, you go to the back of Moonflower then through the unmarked black door to the right and downstairs. There are two rooms - one for music/ dancing and the other with small tables for drinks. The night I went the music room wasn’t open (guess you have to know when it’s club night). A bit bare bones in terms of furniture/ atmosphere. But, the drinks were EXCELLENT. Not a huge selection but the table I was with ordered about four different drinks from the specialty menu and they were all better than I was expecting.

Though the downstairs is designed for drinking I saw people eating from the menu upstairs so apparently you can do that.“

“Pete's has become our favorite date spot. We came in February for Valentine's Day, and have been four times since, including this past weekend for my birthday. It is always fun, there are always new songs, and the performers are amazingly talented. “We hosted a party at the Patina Wine Bar in Mt Prospect last weekend and cannot say enough great things about this place. The staff is so wonderful! Everyone was so nice and easy to work with. The food was all so delicious and I could’ve stayed hours later trying all the wonderful wines they had.“

“I just took my 12 year old nephew here as a surprise adventure. The place is amazing! It’s well laid out. There is plenty to do for every one. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond. And the prices are reasonable for both games and the bar. We will definitely be back.“

“The penultimate neighborhood bar with plenty of characters, shenanigans, and fun! It's our "Just One More" place. Bikers, Rock Stars, and Divas will feel right at home. Live music most weekends, outdoors in the summer in a large parking lot. Everybody who knows, goes there. John & Sparklyn are good people!“

“My husband and I are visiting from Arizona and were meeting some friends in The Glen. We planned on going to The Yardhouse, but thought it was too noisy. Saw the reviews for The Oak and we were so glad we did. The burger I had was the best burger I have ever had, our friend felt the same. My husband and our other friend had the rueben, they loved them also. We left the restaurant and we were going to take individual pics, then this really nice guy offered to take a picture of all of us. He was so very nice. Guess what, he was the owner. “All I know is that the food is so good that I have been here 3 times since it opened (Which has been less then 6 months). I know I should branch out and try the other offerings but I just really love the Tori Paitan and will be back more when the cooler weather is fully settled in.
I also sincerely appreciate that there are good non-alcoholic mixed drinks, because sometimes someone just wants a fun mixed drink but none of the alcohol and there's quite a few options here- expanded even from the menu pictured on Google. There's a really good Yuzu based drink that I also keep getting that is my favorite.
The atmosphere is higher end but not pretentious, and cozy while still being open.

I look forward to bringing more of my friends here.

Parking: Fair amount of parking but it's in a strip mall with other restaurants so you're not always able to find a spot immediately. There's usually more parking in the back“
