“We had a group of 10, each of us found something to our liking, the menu had a huge variety of appetizers, soups, and salads, dinners and handheld sandwiches! The service was great, friendly and quick! It was a nice touch that an owner/manager came and visited with us and share some history of the Resturant. I would highly recommend The Great Escape in Schiller Park.“

“There is always a woman and a man there and they are always so nice to my daughter and I. Great service, very patient and polite. We love coming to this location, it’s our favorite!

Kid-friendliness: They have kids meals and even though my daughter actually eats an entire foot long, everyone so always so friendly to us.

“A great new spot for brunch! My husband and I went and it was busy but we were able to sit right away. I'm gluten free and I LOVE that everything is labeled with an easy to read GF symbol so it helps me identify what I can and can't eat. The gluten free buttermilk pancakes were excellent. My husband had the corn beef skillet and he said his bloody mary was great as well! We'll definitely be back! Felisa was super friendly and made sure to answer my questions about gluten precautions.“

“We were able able to make a reservation via Google, and when we arrived they were expecting us. The staff is really nice, took our drink order right away (coffee and waters) and then our food order soon after. I loved my endless cup of coffee and banana crepes. One person ordered chiquillas, which looked great. We added meat sides later, which came right away. The bill was totally reasonable (no separate checks tho, FYI), and everyone left full and happy.“

Not just pierogi ---Gelato, soups, empanadas, tamales, pizza pie (takes 50 mins to make from scratch and worth it!!) Premium Belgium chocolates, shakes, Coffee and most recent.....160 (yes one hundred and sixty) different premium teas from around the world!!.....and more to come! They also own the tea room and book store next to the cafe. Owners are THE BEST! Welcoming, personable and humorous. Dinning outside available and pups are welcome! The ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful; it was a nice respite from a busy day and I didn’t want to leave. Reasonably priced as well: shared appetizer, two teas, two entrees, and two desserts was $60. Will definitely be back for many more dinners!“
