“Very good food & service. I wish I'd gotten the name of our waitress so I good give her a shout out. Both myself & my wife though she was really on top of things.
Food was excellent. I HIGHLY recommend the Molcajeta de Herradura. Slightly spicy, very slightly , but tons of food,...I'm a big guy & can eat. Couldn't finish it...almost, but not finished.
Wife had enchiladas - also substantial in quantity & very flavorful per my wife.
Margaritas were delicious...bot regular & strawberry. Pretty wide drink selection

“Stopped in for lunch and the bar had such a wonderful atmosphere. Great food, I recommend the mozz bricks with bacon. They’re so addicting. The regulars are friendly. Also enjoyed playing on the slots while waiting for food. I definitely recommend if you’re in Silvis , Illinois to stop by here asap!!!“

“What great space with great people! We stopped by after the Reindeer Rambler 5k. It was so cute, cozy, and festive! The bartenders were so sweet, and the vibe is it! It was a beautiful day outside for December and we got to sit outside by the fire pit. The outside is just an inviting as the inside. 10/10 will be back“

“Open jam Wednesday nights. It's a fun place to unwind or wind up. Whether you're just stopping in for a drink or night cap, or to let loose and socialize this place is highly recommended by me and plenty of my friends/acquaintances. Stop by any day or night of the week to check out the bar, video gaming machines (maybe you will get lucky), and enjoy the patio. Patio has plenty of seating and standing room, and some fire pits to warm up next to if you get chilly. The patio fire pits also provide a little more ambiance to the outdoor vibe... If you show up on a Wednesday night you will be guaranteed (by yours truly) to see and hear a decent live performance by some local up and coming artists, and some locals who just love playing live music in front of a great audience. Stop by and show your support“
“Really nice atmosphere. Very nice bartenders. Bathrooms very clean & even have cell phone holder!! Great live music. Beautiful outdoor patio with fireplace. Only suggestion would be to add some baffles in the ceiling to help with noise. Fun place, recommend!!“

“One of my favorite neighborhood bars! An old school atmosphere with memorabilia to remind you of all the good times. I love playing shuffleboard while there and the staff is awesome! Food never disappoints either so make sure to check out their specials!“

“Nice little tavern with lots of room inside doesn't look like it from the outside but it does shock you! The bar is all round in the center which is very cool! The bartender was very nice and met the other one as she was there to have a drink on her day off she was very nice! The prices are not real expensive for beers, mixed drinks, or shots! Was my first time being here and was very impressed! Live down a block and half from it and might become my little hot-spot to have a drink or two after a hard days work! Oh one more thing can't say the f word in there it's cuz its a heritage thing of theirs I don't mind cuz I don't use it that much!!! If you do you could be kicked out!!!“

“I found this place years ago I come back to the QC so much and always bring a group in ! We have someone the best memories here and the food is some of the best …. I’m 😭😭😢about the chicken strips they are SOME OF THE BEST ! Maybe just maybe it will be back in the Fall 🤗 The bartenders the bartender that was working this weekend was working her butt off and all of our FOOD was The BEST it has ever been , the cheese curds with BBQ sauce yummmmm! “I am staying at Stoney Creek for 2 nights, coming from Madison Wi and wanted something to eat before settling in.There were just 2 other customers at the bar, but only one man running the bar and the grill.He was super friendly and helpful. I asked what the Grown Up Grilled Cheese was and it sounded good so I ordered.It was Fantastic.He even helped me out by filling my empty soda bottle to take to my room so I wouldn’t spill.I would definitely recommend this place and kudos to the young man working 3/11 around 6:30 pm.“

“It's nice to have MLK day off from work - three-day weekends are great from school, and their just as good in adult life. After a day spent largely across the river in Rock Island and East Moline, I took a rest at home. I needed a night cap and some dinner however. What better way to accomplish both of those things than a quick trip out to a nearby bar?I have no other reason to traverse Central Avenue in Bettendorf. I live within a 5 minute drive of Central Ave Tap, but I don't need to visit Neil Armstrong Elementary, nor is there anything else along the road for me to visit currently. I've driven by before on my way to visit friends that live in the area, just never stopped in here ever for a drink or food. Well, that changes tonight - I needed a gin and tonic and a burger before bed!There's not too much to say about Central Ave Tap. Its a bar in the bottom half of a building all to itself. There're two pool tables, a few dart boards, and a long bar that runs the whole length of the space. Newish wood laminate floor covers most of the inside, as does the newer looking drop ceiling. There's a TouchTunes jukebox along the wall - one of the new variety that lets anyone with the corresponding phone app play anything they like with the touch of a button from their phone. Suffice to say, the space is well maintained and clean.I settled at the bar on my visit and got my gin and tonic to start. They only had well gin - Fleischmann's I think? - it was fine, made a good G&T. After a quick perusal of the menu, I settled on a burger and fries, both of which I got to watch the bartender prepare right from my seat at the bar. This was a new experience for me - the stove and, really, the entire kitchen area are right there, unsegregated from the rest of the space, to watch as you please. It was actually kind of neat, plus the food came out super fresh.I enjoyed both the burger and fries. The burger was a simple pre-formed frozen patty, but it tasted fresh all the same. The fries were crinkle cut, fried to crispy perfection. The total portion size was exactly what I needed for the evening - not too much, not too little.Given a similar urge, I'd come back here for another burger. It felt kind of weird just randomly coming here. The space had the distinct feeling of being a local pup, a sort of common space for mostly those that lived close by. I hope I didn't intrude much. “I've been there multiple times over the years. Love it every time we're there! Everyone is welcoming and friendly. The owner, Amer is as nice as they come. You can tell that the employees and bartenders he hires follow his lead.
We hosted a live event there, and they were more than accommodating to any requests we had. It's a large space, great for parties and events. It's in a perfect location in downtown Moline. Within walking distance of The Mark, and a short drive from the Iowa side.
Great place to host a party or just stop by for a quick drink. I will continue to frequent The Other Bar!“

“I hosted a surprise party here on 10/4/25 and after booking and a miscommunication happening the manager, Calvin was very helpful and took the initiative to prepare the brunch area for me and a group of 30 guest at the last minute. From the bar service with the bartender to our server, Sophia who was just the sweetest and most patient waitress I have ever experienced in such a large group setting everything made this experience a 10 out of 10. Sophia, you rocked it girl! I appreciate you taking on the whole party and giving us all of your time and attention. Thank you J Bar for helping me to celebrate a special birthday and giving us top tier quality service from start to finish! WE WILL BE RETURNING! P.S: Order the Grilled Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Fries and it was AMAZING!!!!!“
