“my family and i went there tonight as first timers. id like to say the food is absolutely delish except the soups. we had the new england clam chowder amd the seafood gumbo and they honestly tasted like can soup. the fried calamri were perfect and the raw oysters were fresh and cleaned immaculately. we would definitely go back BUT will not have matthew as our server. he was honestly terrible. unattentive to us on a very slow Wednesday night in the restaurant. if he came around 2 or 3 times during the hour and half we were there it was a lot and to drop off food. my husband asked for a refill on his drink after 15 minutes i had to get up to look for him and eventually had to bother farrah, another server working. she promptly got him a drink and checked on us several times after that. matthew nowhere to be found until it was time for the check to be paid. his service would have turned my nose at a return but farrah saves the night and the fact wed be return customers soon. also we asked for a small container of butter we recieved a bowl cool until we got the bill and they were charging $6 for a bowlof butter. would have been nice if mathew would have let us know our options before deciding it was cool to bring whatever he chose. he did remove it from the bill when i questioned it but the point is there was transparency or communication before hand. ivell farrah and the good saved the night, sorry mathew you need to work on your service if this is your choice of job“

“Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.“

“I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

“I'm kicking myself for having slept on this place for too long. I've been coming in semi-regularly for the last few months for coffee, bagels, and sometimes donuts before my morning commute. Always delicious, staff is always friendly, and I enjoy the atmosphere. I recommend bringing your own mug if you're getting coffee to-go because they're actively trying to minimize waste. Love that this place is in my neighborhood.“

“I just walked out of the door and am so glad that God sent us there. We tried 3 places prior to walking in CheSa’s doors which was a definite blessing. We had the catfish skillet, bourbon peach cobbler franchise toast, chicken sausage and scrabbles eggs w/cheese washed down with a breakfast martini. “Was driving past and saw a Jamaican flag in the window so I turned around. Thank God I did the food is so good ya'll I had the lamb, spinach and mashed potatoes. “Update: It's s probably been 2 or so years since I've been in. Was in the neighborhood and had to stop in for nostalgia. Service is just as good as I remember and the food is still top notch! Shrimp Po boy and the wings tasted like I remember. Love the addition of the On Trend: Fire : It Slaps cocktail menu.

“The first time I tried CHAR CRUST I was given a sample packet of the Hickory flavor and tried it on a ribeye steak, hands down best steak I've ever eaten, the Char Crust complimented the steak and not over powered it. The next day I placed an order on Amazon, since then I have purchased the Chipotle flavor and seasoned a freshly graded hashbrown Omelette. “The crab & shrimp boil bag was good, it’s nice they have a variety is spice levels and sauces. However we didn’t receive the sides we ordered. The waiter was happy to remove them from the bill, but still a little disappointing to not receive the items. Our waiter was friendly and nice but they seemed a little understaffed.
