“Came in right as they opened on Friday for lunch. Ordered bbq gulf shrimp po boy, half fried chicken, biscuits, Cajun fries, and red beans and rice. Food came out hot, well seasoned, and delicious. Fried chicken was exceptional-- fluffy, light, and flavorful breading.Kid friendly atmosphere for lunch. Our toddler told us the red beans and rice were spicy but he kept going back for more. We'll be back for sure.“
“The service was amazing! Ms O is a sweetheart! The food did not disappoint. It was hot, fresh and delicious! I savored every bite. The wait staff was kind and friendly. The owner, Bridget, was very warm and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and beautiful. I will definitely return!“
“I’ve been to a ton of Chicago north side cafes, and there are two things I always crave / like to get:1. An egg and cheese bagel sandwich2. A Boston cream donutBoth of which knocked my socks off, the bagel sandwich was presented neatly in a basket, the bagel was flavorful and delicious, the bacon crisp and meaty cheese on egg all were flawless. The Boston cream had the right dough, was filled perfectly and had a delicious glaze, something I can’t say so much about my experience with Stan’s somewhat nearby.I also ordered an iced americano that came in a perfectly chilled metal tumbler.I don’t live nearby but I am now seeking out Spoken Cafe. So good.“
“This place is a great boil place! Shrimp, various crabs, variety seafood, potatoes, corn, and corn bread. They also are experts at pouring the bag into a bowl, didn't spill one drop. Never seen anything like it! I love this place, highly recommend!!!“
“Great little spot to pick up a bite, a coffee, and read/study/ or work for a bit. The food was delicious but a bit on the smaller side for my taste. Nothing to hold me back from visiting again. I definitely recommend if you are in the area. Check it out!“
“I had a fantastic brunch experience! The attention to detail, creative cocktails, and delicious food options really make CheSa’s Bistro stand out. The lamb chop, beignet waffle with fried chicken, and short ribs with red grits were absolutely mouthwatering. Each dish was cooked to perfection and the flavors complemented each other well. I recommend going with people who enjoy new things. Clearly I had an incredible experience and a wonderful time there. Cheers to more delightful brunches in the future at CheSa’s.“
“Went on 4/29/24 for the first time. And when I tell you it was so worth it. There is a $25 entry fee that trust me is so totally worth it. The Band playing that night was from Memphis and they were top notch! And to all our surprise, Buddy Guy himself was there. Towards the half way point he made a appearance and oh boy was we put in for a treat. He did about 4 songs along with the band. Amazing night! I had the catfish tenders with fries they were good but overshadowed by the amazing performance. Drinks were good as well. If I could rate it 10 stars ? I would. I absolutely loved this place“
“This place is amazing. I went to NO a few times in my youth. The first time I went I got red beans and rice right on the street and decided I probably never needed to eat anything else ever. This place brought that back to me. Through sausage on it. Might be gilding the lily but maybe some lily’s like it.The rigamaroo was so freaking good. The po boys were spicy and deliciousThe gumbo. Lord the gumbo. The flavor, then”juice” the gravy…whatever it’s called.l. So good…but I want it to have shrimp in it though…or maybe crawfish…but I might die of deliciousnessCountry music makes me very sad so I took one star away for ambiance. It is the old school stuff so only one point taken away.“
“YOOOO the gilty pig is insane! They have "popped up" at my farm a few times now, and each time I am amazed by the flavors and complexity they bring to "simple dishes". They take a brat and turn it into a full asian inspired meal. Now if the food wasnt enough, this truck could not be run by two better people. They deserve all of the awesome things that are coming their way. Keep killin it, guys!“
“The food was amazing! I live in the suburbs and wouldn’t definitely make the trip to them. I’ve tried different places with the same menu and none of them come close! Definitely going back and recommending it to anyone looking for a really good boil.“
“This was my first time at this location and it was phenomenal. The ambiance feels inviting, warm, personal and touch of “home”. It felt like I was having lunch at my house. The food was very tasteful and well seasoned. I am one of those people that usually go with the “hamburger” or “chicken strips” because I am scared to try other foods. I ordered the red beans and rice with sausage and shrimp skewer. It was very delicious. The service was excellent.“
“Attended an awesome Sunday Brunch Birthday Party. The staff was very polite and attentive. The brunch food was delicious and A++ for being served HOT. The Ladies who performed put on a wonderful entertaining show. Thank you for allowing us to take photos. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed myself. I highly recommend this show for going out to have a great time.“
“Great food. A bit on the expensive side, but good seafood usually is.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly as long as you do the boil (no fried foods). They were easy to work with once I told them about the gluten allergy. Delicious food!“
“Yesterday was my first time at here and what I loved about this place was their combo boils. I got option A with the shrimp potatoes and cornbread with all 3 seasonings and a drink. It was so good!!!!! Their fried pickles were also a 10/10 with the ranch for the dipping sauce.I took my boil home to enjoy the next day and it was very good. This place did not disappoint.“
“Been here a few times in person, and the food is always great. Interior is cozy, staff is very nice. However - they seem to be afflicted by some sort of strange barbecue sauce based curse. Every single time I order takeout for lunch, no matter what sauces I request, I get barbecue sauce. The barbecue sauce is great! It goes with a lot of things on the menu. But it has been the substitute for ketchup, honey mustard, ranch, vinaigrette, you name it. This isn’t really a complaint, just kind of a weird coincidence. Check your sauces before you leave!“
“This place has the best vibes ever, good beer selection, good liquor, and excellent food as well. The bartender is super cool and plays classic movies all night. I recommend checking out the handshake menu, and if you need food the wings are very good and the fries come out hot and fresh! I wish we lived within walking distance because we'd go here a lot more!“
“I ordered the white fish poboy, fries, coleslaw, with an appetizer of garlic edamame; to-go. The whole walk back to my hotel was filled with the tantalizing smells, wafting from my bag. Once seated, the group fell silent and we all devoured our plates. Mine was stellar, a great value and very tasty!Thank you!“
“Absolutely a 10/10. The rum punch shots as a welcome were great. The drinks were tasty but we certainly felt them! The salmon egg rolls were tasty! Nice and crunchy and the sauce was delicious. The spinach & artichoke dip with garlic bread? AMAZING. It was such a filling appetizer! Also, the alfredo with lamb chops were super tasty! Love how the chops still had a chew to them even when well done. The drunken pasta was SO satisfying and well seasoned. I’m so glad we got to try this spot. Been on our list for a minute. The pastas come hot and stay hot! They don’t get lukewarm even after a couple minutes like some other restaurants and that’s what we loved. Our waiter, Mandy H was impeccable. 10 stars for her too. To top if off we enjoyed the butter cake with vanilla ice cream and it was the perfect size for 2! Definitely enjoyed to the fullest and will be coming again even though I’m trying to unbig my back. Big shout out to whoever was on the music as well!“
