“We drove down from Milwaukee. I’ve been wanting to try Tortello since they’ve opened and I found out that they source their eggs from where I get mine (they are the best). Dario was kind, friendly, and extremely engaging. The food was fantastic. We started with Focaccia Ricotta & Honey which was ridiculously good. I had the spaghetti pomodoro which was perfectly balanced sauce to pasta to cheese. My husband had the Cacio e Pepe and devoured it. Our son had the Kids Lumache and ate half (he’s only two) and inhaled the rest tonight. It smelled even better the second time around if that’s possible. Best authentic Italian I’ve had in the States. Felt great after too, not like I’d eaten a pound of pasta. If you aren’t making plans to go sometime soon…you’re missing out!“

Great service and good food. You can taste the difference by the fresh ingredients they use. Although the coffee was disappointing, they use lavazza pods, but the service to make it the way you like fills the gap…“

“I ordered the mid-week take home special last week and we loved the selections. The soup was gnocchi with a short rib meat filling and a short rib broth. The dinner was boar's meat and sauce with kale. The dessert was fill your own cannoli. Everything was delicious and the instructions for reheating were easy. It's my third time getting it. So fun!“

“Ironically I ran into the owner during a Lyft ride and he was my driver. So two weeks later I try the food and it's out of this world. He specifically told me he uses the finest, freshest, high quality ingredients-which is apparent when you try the food. No seed oils here either! Our server Danielle made us feel like welcomed family, the open kitchen gave us dinner and a show, and the food was delicious - with portions big enough to allow us to take home for another meal later! Don't skip the garlic butter, and try their signature Farfalle Pollo - oh, and check out their signature cocktails, the Spritzes transport you to Italy!“

“My husband and I ordered takeout, wanting some comfort food on what was a very hard weekend. The portion sizes were very generous, the food was well seasoned and delicious. My husband said he felt like an Italian grandmother was cooking for him. We are new to the area and will be ordering from the pasta bowl again.“

“Today was my first time here, and I had the best pasta I have ever had in Chicago! The pasta tastes authentic with fresh ingredients. I had the Portabello Ravioli and Cesar Salad. The place receives to go and delivery orders, no problem for a local or for someone wanting to pick up fantastic food.“

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

“Ordered 2 pizzas for a party (margherita and supreme) and everyone loved it! They loved the crust and how delicious the pizzas were. They have a very easy process of placing your order online for pickup. Plan on trying their pasta and dessert.“
