“I met former coworkers for dinner here and was my first time dining at this location. Our waitress Alane was fantastic and the manager Rob even stopped by to check on everything. We had appetizers, main courses and desserts. It was all fantastic! Alane made sure waters were filled regularly and other drinks were refilled promptly. The restaurant was busy, but felt cozy at the same time. We were seated in a booth and was absolutely perfect.”

“Absolutely the best and freshest bagels between here and Brooklyn. Though originally from the Midwest, I spent 20 years on the East Coast and my wife has family who are from Brooklyn. Thank you so much Elle for bringing a taste of home to the Crystal Lake area.”

“I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always enjoyed the coffee. I’ve also had a pastry or two on the last visits like a poptart it was pretty good. The coffee deserves 5 stars. On the other hand, their breakfast sandwich and avocado toast are not great. I ordered for delivery since I start work very early and they open after I have to he in office. I requested pickled onions and they gave a GENEROUS amount. Way too much that I had to pick them off. It didn’t feel balanced. The flavor of the onions are kind of odd. I’ve made pickled onions myself and had them at other restaurants, but I don’t like the way these are made. Hard to pinpoint the flavor of what they added in the pickling process since it tastes more than just adding vinegar, lime, water and sugar. The biscuit bread was moist… and it tasted weird and bitter… the aftertaste to the sandwich was not pleasant. I’m not sure how to describe it, and not sure if the biscuit or sausage was moldy or not but it tasted awful. I’m definitely not ordering the sandwich or avocado toast again. I’ll just stick to the coffee or whatever pastries they got.”

“The staff is very friendly and the food is great. We ordered the Birria and Al Pastor pizzas and they were both delicious. The left overs didn't last long at home either. We'll be heading back soon to try some of their other creations. Highly recommend giving this place a try.”
