“We are “newer” to Janesville and had never been to Bessie’s until today! Jan. 1 is my birthday and we have found it hard to find places that are open. We were thrilled to see that Bessie’s was open on New Years Day! The restaurant was booming, which is always great to see. Our server Susy V. was attentive, friendly, and she went the extra mile to make my birthday feel special. The manager even allowed me to add an item to my omlet that wasn’t even an option. Overall we were thrilled by the hospitality. The food was delicious, the Bloody Mary flight was fun, and we saw a total of 11 planes! 10/10 experience. We will be back!“

“Burritos are huge, and delicious! If you can, get guacamole and sour cream, it enhances the burrito. (we ate ours at home and we were able to add as much sour cream and guacamole as we wanted…Yum!)

Tacos were simple, nothing to write home about. My daughter said they were traditional simple tacos.. meat, lettuce, onions, cilantro and she’s pretty sure they had rice.

The hotel and restaurant share a unique style, seamlessly incorporating ironwork elements into the design in a tasteful way — classic and stylish. We arrived early to enjoy a cocktail at the bar, and it did not disappoint. The basil-lemon martini was one of the best flavor combinations I’ve ever had. The selection of spirits rivals that of any upscale establishment. The service was top-notch. From the charming bartender to our perfect waitress, Rachel, everyone we encountered made us feel valued and well taken care of. Our "Geronimo Moment" appetizer was a delightful surprise — we’ll definitely be back for that Shrimp! As for the main course, if there was any doubt about making this steakhouse one of our regulars, it was quickly erased. The meat was perfectly cooked as ordered, well-seasoned, and the additions were excellent choices that truly enhanced the dish. The salad, soup, potatoes, and dessert were all delicious as well. I wouldn't change a thing about this dining experience. For the quality, options, and overall experience, the price was reasonable for the area. My only regret is not visiting sooner. Merrill & Houston's is a must-try for special occasions, business meetings, family dinners, or even just drinks and appetizers.“

We've lived in Beloit but never get to the Westside much but......we were looking for a sit down Pizza place so we tried Vinces.........Glad we did. We've had the Pizza,Steak Dinners and Chicken Parm so far.....all have been good.“

Today in a snow storm, my pick up order was 40 minutes delayed and the delay was at no point communicated to me. There was no place to wait and so after about 15 minutes of standing, my 30 week pregnant self just helped myself to a chair at a table. I could tell the hosts were running, but the lack of communication was very disappointing.“

El problema es que no hay ni anuncio en el restaurante ni dicen al pagar. Además el sistema de tarjeta todavía hace la pregunta de propina!? The food was fine as was the service. The problem is that they don't bring a bill to the table and the server just tells you the total when you pay. My husband paid and left a tip like always, but he looked closely at the receipt in the car and saw an extra charge called "loom." The very bottom of the receipt explains that loom is an automatic 15% tip for groups of 4 or more, which in this visit was my husband, my 2 daughters and I. The problem is that there's no notice in the restaurant nor do they tell you when paying. Additionally, the card system still asks if you want to add a tip?!? We ended up leaving a double tip - $9.73 on a $29.51 bill. It's a scam and I wonder who keeps the automatic "loom" charge - the owner or the waitress?“

“Nice sports bar with plenty of TVs, tables, and booths as well as bar seating. Had a fair selection of draft beers. I enjoyed some of the old Kentucky. It is a one pound fried chicken breast with Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a bun. Came with a side. All five of us in our party got our food quickly and enjoyed it.“

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of superhero characters around so those that are into it like my children may take a liking to the place and fight with each other about which (comic book) era the characters were from or whatever, simple but meaningful time together.“

“My wife and I eat at Tilley's almost every week. The service has always been friendly and timely. Our choices are usually one of two daily lunch specials, the Thin Crust Pizza with a drink or the Cheeseburger with Fries and a drink. Both are a bargain price . One of my favorites is the Snead sandwich. A double decker, comprised of a burger, ham, the usual lettuce, tomato and onion. An added option is a fried egg. The standard comes with toast (3) but I usually opt to get it on a bun.“

From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff was over the top accommodating to our every need. Service was super friendly and exceptional, as well as the food.
