I had three steak tacos with a side of fresh avocado (and it was a perfectly ripe avocado side) I grew up here and always try to come back and eat here when I am in town. “Big YES! I go there monthly with a group of, usually, 15 to 20 ladies. We get THE BEST service ever! The waitresses are pros at keeping checks separate and remembering who ordered what dish. how the cook gets 20 separate dishes ready at the same time and quickly is amazing service! “We went in with a large group (14 people) and we were served by Taylor. She was a very nice wonderful waitress. The food was very good, and it was great time. “The Tavern on Clark is amazing! My daughter and I were traveling from out of town and were recommended this place! The manager went out of his way to accommodate us and find us a table. They were so busy. We didn’t have a reservation. But he was so kind and helpful, working out a way for us to have a wonderful dinner! Our server was so efficient. The food was as delicious as we were hoping! Literally my daughter’s burger was HUGE! The potato fries were cooked to perfection. I had a BBQ chicken salad that was so fresh and tasted amazing! We come to Rockford for soccer a few times a year. We will be back for sure!“

“A decent place to grab better than average bar food while sitting in a spacious and nicely furnished outside area.
Service was pretty slow for what appeared to be a not so busy night but the waitress was nice.

“We call in our order, then pick up our order of very decent take out food to please our tableful of family from age 4 thru 70. The littles love the sweet and sour Chicken and the rest of us enjoy clearing sinuses to sesame chicken. Enjoy that we can request higher spice levels if we wish. And always come with fresh fortune cookies.“

“Took my wife out to green fire, I am very critical in my reviews as you could see if you look at my reviews. This place is by far the best place around, bar none.the food was very exceptional, and the service was better then I have had any wear. I hope they keep this up. As for anyone who said any different is clearly hard to please. The staff was very attentive to our needs, which says a lot about the staff. “I was told that Gerry’s Pizza is amazing. Well it really isn’t. We tried it yesterday for the first time. We asked for a very thin crust and while it was thin it wasn’t more so than any other thin crust. The sauce lacked flavor. It was at best bland. We asked for extra sausage & cheese. If what they gave us was extra I’d hate to see what regular cheese & sausage consisted of. The bigger letdown was the “Fresh Calamari.” This wasn’t fresh! It was straight from the freezer bag to the deep fryer. Breading was very institutional from a place like Gordon Food Service. The person that took my order over the phone and got my food for me was very nice. You get one chance to make a first impression. Gerry’s food fell far short.“

The food is kept fresh the kitchen is spotless 24/7 they clean the floors like they're going to eat off of them. A lot of restaurant kitchens in the area are nasty and i wouldn't eat from the places i worked at. I have 0 obligation to say so as an ex employee. it may be more expensive than the other places in the area and the service may not be the greatest but the QUALITY of food the fresh, hygienic, ingredients coming from a clean and organized kitchen is something you can't beat.“

“Rockford's best BBQ !! The decor is a take you back to the day. The sauces are so good I would recommend Wilbur's Revenge which is the hottest. Audra was our server and was great. We met some management that checked on us. We had a great time tonight.“

“The Value Menu gives us a sit down meal for less than fast food. It's healthier too. Make sure to tip your server well, the menu prices are so reasonable that the two of us usually tip 50% and it's still a great deal!

Only bad thing is, sometimes there are loud kids - but what can you expect from IHOP? ;)“
