“I had an amazing experience at Batter & Berries! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. The food was outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared. One standout you absolutely cannot miss is their homemade hot sauce. It has the perfect balance of heat and flavor and takes the meal to a whole new level. “I always love coming here & frequently do when I want a good hearty meal or bringing friends. We are always kindly greeted & welcomed when arriving. It smells wonderful & makes us more hungry! We are served a cup of soup (gratis) with every meal including breakfast (their soups are delicious). The staff is friendly & always accommodating. Our food is served hot in generous proportions & for the price (very reasonable compared to other restaurants of this kind), it can’t be beat. Greek owned, the hospitality & food is reflective of the Greek Culture, representing pride, family, community, friendship, kindness & duty of service that is offered to their guests. This is known as Philotimo (pronounced “Fi-ló-timo” [Fee-low-timo]).“

“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“Ordered the half order of biscuits and gravy meal The biscuits were soft and fresh, gravy was flavorful, scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy, and bacon perfectly crisp. Food was seasoned well and not overly salty. Orange juice was cold and refreshing but very small. My only complaint would be there was a LOT of gravy compared to the size of the biscuits, making the biscuits appear much larger than they actually were. Overall, really great breakfast. Would definitely order it again.“

“whoa. wasn’t expecting everything to be a 10/10! My brother & i went on a saturday morning around 10:30-11a, —PACKED! but we got seated right away! no wait That shocked me…waitress took a little moment to get to our table understandable considering there were large parties in there 10+. However, once she took our order the food came out fast, & it was piping hot😩. now i’m not the biggest pancake fan but the pancakes are AMAZING…the smothered breakfast potatoes were so damn good….this location has a strong 10/10 for me. Cant wait to go back…food was so damn good i forgot to get a before pic😫😂“

“I visited Waffle for the first time today (was recommended by a friend) and it was wonderful! Alexa, my server, was kind, swift, personable and gave great suggestions. I had the house omelette with, of course, a waffle, and it was delicious. The price point was also super pleasing. A great neighborhood gem!“

“I have only been to this restaurant once. From the outside it looks like its barely hanging on. It needs some sprucing on the outside. The interior though is classic and traditional. It has an interior that Bronzeville's Pearls Place could really use and space that Valois in Hyde Park really needs. I can also recall how good the pancakes were. I can't say much about anything else. It's been a while. My hope is that they could clean up and modernize the outside. For this they may need an infusion of cash. I believe the outside is where the business falls off a bit I mean you wouldn't even think it was open for business. Its the only place worth eating at in the whole 8th ward. The area is filled with junk food options and it's a shame. I will be back soon.“

“Great classic diner! When you come in you’re promptly seated and if there’s a wait, the staff is quick to turn over tables as soon as there’s room. The Munster Mustang is the quintessential breakfast to get before a fun weekend day. Wait staff ensures your coffee is never empty! Riviera knocks it put of the park!“

“Fresh coffee!! None of that nasty burnt rubber tasting stuff you get from other places.
Service was exceptional, the waitresses were prompt and I was seated with no wait time.
Pricing was fair, especially for the portion sizes. The Irish plate will have you eating like royalty and is reasonably priced.
The pancakes were fluffy and perfectly done.
Definitely an Oak Lawn hidden gem.“

“The food was fresh and piping hot as the waitress brought it out to everyone in my 5-person party. I had the meatlovers skillet. The meats were cooked to my liking, no uncooked bacon, and the potatoes were fully cooked to perfection. The eggs were cheesy and blended together easily in my skillet. The pancakes were fluffy and hot with my meal. The wait was semi long for table/booth, but the food didn't disappoint.“

“This restaurant was kaddie corner to my Grandparents on Albany Ave. I went there when I was a boy in the 1970's...it was great back then. It says something that it is still around and still retains the Restaurant Neon sign on it. I would see that illuminated out my Gram's back window... Love it.“

“Enjoyed breakfast as a family of 3 adults. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and a large menu to choose from. I enjoyed FRESH strawberry waffle (fresh fruit in December!!) My husband had FRESH blueberry pancakes and my son had biscuits and gravy! Decent pricing, easy access from interstate ( just a short drive down Indpls blvd). We'll be back when in the area.“

“I ordered a steak Omelette eggs over easy when I say it was one of the best things that I ever tasted. I’m not lying to you. It was cooked to perfection and had great seasoning. The presentation looked delicious Whoever the cook is or chef he or she is a keeper and can cook his or her A_ _ off. “Bialy’s always has a very friendly staff, atmosphere, and great food. You can essentially get anything on their menu (breakfast/lunch/dinner) from open to close. A small detail I always love is their refried beans, definitely far better than comparable restaurants.“
