Aunt Lou's Soul Food

As a small business owner, I love trying new local spots — and Aunt Lou’s absolutely did not disappoint.

It was so delicious and had that sweet nostalgia of the days when you’d buy a plate from a friend and sit around the table way too long. We ordered the fried chicken breast dinners with cabbage, mashed potatoes & brown gravy, plus red beans and rice with cornbread on the side.

I could kick myself for not coming here sooner! Friendly service, good vibes, excellent catfish and smothered pork chops. Also loved the candied yams and baked mac n cheese. We'll be back to explore the expanded menu! This is a great addition to downtown and the Springfield food scene.

I can't speak on their food bcz I've not tried it, but when I pulled up I saw TV screens. That's an immediate no for me. Sports bars are one thing, dining is different.
