I decided on ole reliable Olive Garden as I wanted a salad and something more but not break my pocketbook.

I knew a couple of my favorites are always available but took a chance on Steak Gargonzola Alfredo. While I'm not a blue cheese fan, and the wonderful waitress (Katy?) cautioned me that it is a strong blue cheese, I decided to try something different. You only go around once in life...

Started out with the salad and extra dressing, and of course, bread sticks with butter on the side. Lately I do drink water with a lot of lemon, and she didn't disappoint.

Then came the main event. As I like to sample things and get a taste of it all, I cut up the steak bites into smaller pieces so I would have a price of meat with each batch of Alfredo, and...

It WAS VERY GOOD!

Great service.

Plenty of salad and bread sticks.

Water refilled before I ran out.

And, the entrée was excellent.

In the future I would suggest a tad more Alfredo sauce and a little more spinach BUT I am stuffed, satisfied and relaxed.

“We love Springfield’s South Dirksen location!! The portions are always generous, the food hot, and Lashonda is wonderful. She’s so friendly under pressure:)“

“This isn't your typical campus sandwich shop; The owners also make up the staff here and they are friendly, efficient, and professional. Both times ordering here, the food came quickly and tasted great. In general, I get the impression that they run a tight ship here and the whole experience is just better and quicker than what I get at Subway. They advised me to download the app, which I did, and it works great; you can order ahead and you get a few rewards for signing up. Breakfast and a variety of drinks, including coffee, are offered here, and there is ample seating both indoor and out. It's really nice to have this on-campus.

“Really good customer service at this shop. I went in looking for a chicken wrap which I learned isn't on the menu at Panera. The gentleman taking my order suggested the Southwest Chicken Ranch Salad. I ordered the half salad for $8.99 which turned out to be plenty big enough for one person. I never knew a salad could ever taste so good and I now have one more reason to keep going back to Panera!“

“We love going to the Quiznos-Lawrence location. Every time we go, we try a new sammy from the menu, and we have yet to find a menu item that we haven’t loved.❤️ But the food isn’t the only reason we go to this store every time we are in Springfield… we go because the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, and the shop is pristine in terms of cleanliness. My son always snags a cookie (and so does his father😉). Josh (the manager) runs a tight ship, and his guests LOVE him. As we were eating we seen nick taking orders, cleaning tables, and still making every customer smile he came across! I’m not sure what was better the food or the service. Both were 10/10 AMAZING.
