“Stopped in on a whim after seeing a pop-up on FB about this amazing five star Tavern. We were pleasantly surprised when we were welcomed as we walked through the door. The atmosphere was inviting and the service top notch! The food was above and beyond what we expected. We had the fish specials, both were deliciously out of this world! Freddy’s is like I went back to 1990’s St.Calistus St.Joseph’s table. Stop in the Food Service and Establishment all live up to its promises. You can not have a bad meal here.

“A Chicagoan recommended I take the pink line to 18th for this best ever pizza. With crunchy thin crust and an unexpectedly large serving size, it was piping hot and topped with tons of cheese and a generous amounts of sausage and hot honey. Mmmmm!

The horchata was the creamiest ever. The service was kind and helpful and the playlist was straight out of my neighborhood in the 90s. Made for a wonderful meal with lots of memories. Make sure to follow up with a visit to the National Museum of Mexican Art just across the street. Great people, great food, all around fun.“

“I love this place and I love Giant. The crust is great, good texture and flavorful, and the cheese they use is top notch. Pepperonis were also high quality, if there’s a problem it lies with the sauce. There's hardly any, not even close to enough on either their tavern or NY style. Order the NY style with extra sauce. The tavern is so thin that there’s barely any room for sauce, if you care. Still solid tavern.“

Now let's get to the food. Amazing crust on the stuffed pizza with tons of ingredients which tasted fresh and not a slice was left after the whole pizza was devoured by myself and the crew. The baked ravioli with cheese on top was also fantastic! Their garden salad had everything a garden salad should including radishes and the cannolis had a crunchy shell with tasty filling. “I walked into Paisans the location for your next Super Bowl Party experience. My pics will speak for themselves. I wanted their Chicken Chili soup but I was out voted. Crust: this is what did it for me. The crust was a perfect thickness and kept its structure/ crisp throughout the whole pizza

Sauce: they’re cooking down their own sauce I believe. It’s got a touch of that fresh tomato sweetness. Nothing over powering, just a great classic sauce

Sausage/cheese: high quality Battaglia products. Traditional cheese blend and good sausage. Nothing crazy in this category but definitely brings their pizza together

“Dimo’s Pizza in Logan Square is hands-down one of the best pizza spots in Chicago. Not only is the pizza absolutely delicious and affordable, but the heart and spirit behind this place are unmatched. Felipe, who runs the shop, is one of the kindest and most community-minded leaders I’ve ever met.

I run a high-needs, underserved Chicago Public School, and when we reached out to dozens of local pizzerias to help sponsor our monthly student celebrations, Felipe was one of the very few to respond. For the last two years, he has generously provided pizza for our students completely free of charge every month (no publicity, no recognition) just sincere generosity and a belief in supporting the next generation of Chicago and world leaders.

Every staff member I’ve interacted with has been incredibly friendly. Their recipes are creative and delicious, the space is spotless, the vibes inside the pizzeria are always great, always playing good music. The prices are more than fair too. This has become my favorite pizza place in Chicago, which is saying a lot, considering Chicago is the epicenter of great pizza.

“An outstanding experience at Parlor this evening! This was the first truly gorgeous day in Chicago so Parlor was very busy (as expected). We were seated for our reservation right away and our waiter made sure to get our order in for happy hour as soon as possible. Although service was a little slower due to the volume of customers, our waiter was very kind and apologetic, checking on us constantly and bringing us free drinks. I would say Parlor has the best value during happy hour - $6/$7 select drinks, $6 select apps, and buy one get one pizzas - unbeatable.“

“I made an online order for 2 pastas and when my boyfriend brought the food home they didn’t add meatballs to the pasta. I called the restaurant and the guy who answered was extremely apologetic and super kind. I just wanted to write this review to praise this employee (we didn’t get his name, but he was working on Thursday May 1st around 4pm.) He went above and beyond and made sure to make it right. A lot of restaurants now a days have employees who simply don’t care and lack customer service and kindness, so it’s nice to have people who actually help out. We will continue to keep going back.
