“A real bad where locals mix with travelers trading stories and making friends. I was passing through on business, but my local biker friends recommended the place. I pull up to find a horse hitched out back. Turns out the horse's owner has passed thru here 18 years ago and remembered the place after all those years. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, the food is good, and the prices are cheap. You can't beat the atmosphere. This is the kind of place that trendy bars wishes they were. A unique hole in the wall that won't disappoint you, stop by Dave's Lost-ant and create your own stories.“

“Hyvee has a butcher shop cutting fresh meats and also carries a diverse seafood selection. This isn't Walmart where everything is prepackaged sitting on the shelf past the expiration date. Shop Hyvee! There is also a cafe inside the grocery store.“

“Decided to go here since I was on a vacation with my 3 year old son and they had a kids menu. Selection was good and prices were solid. My son got grilled cheese with tater tots and I got the Brisket BBQ Burger and fires. Burger was cooked perfectly and fries where fine. We also got a desert (s'mores). Mariah was our server and she was great, very attentive.“

“We’ve been coming to Olive Garden in Melrose Park for years, and it’s become a regular spot for our family. We’re there at least every couple of weeks, and it never disappoints.
The food is always consistent, fresh, and exactly what you expect when you’re craving Italian comfort food. The kids absolutely love it—especially the breadsticks (of course) and pasta—and it’s one of the few places everyone agrees on without any debate.
What really keeps us coming back, though, is the atmosphere and service. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and on top of everything, even when it’s busy. You can tell they care about their regulars, and that goes a long way.

“Overall, I found the pricing to be quite reasonable, especially considering the unique decor and theme of the resort compared to a typical hotel. The water park exceeded my expectations, and the same goes for the hotel restaurant and the arcade. The staff members were really friendly. The mini golf area and the villas appear really nice. Additionally, the proximity of a trail leading to Starved Rock, specifically St. Louis Canyon, right across the street, was nice. I also appreciated the diversity of the guests; there was a mix of thirty-something parents and a variety of others. Overall, everyone seemed friendly, although most guests preferred to keep to themselves, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Would visit again.“

“Meg is the best host. She has consistently been a great asset to our hiking community. We plan our trips for when she is bartending and serving. Thanks for her amazing service. We could go to any number of places to eat and drink after our hikes but we choose this one because of the great food and Megs service.“
