“After a rude experience at another restaurant, we called and asked if they could accommodate a group of 20+ people last minute. They had tables put together and ready when we arrived! Ali B. was an excellent server considering the amount of people and kids we had with our group. Thank you Jacks for good food & a good experience!!“

“Randomly found this place on the way back to Destin, Florida when my kids were hungry for some breakfast. Looks like it's primary function is a bar, but really cool feel and Dave the owner was fantastic. My kids are both extremely picky eaters and told me it was the best grilled cheese and cheeseburger they ever had. Yes, that's what I let them have for breakfast 🙂 anyway, Dave gave them some candy on the way out and gave us all a pen from the restaurant with its name. Just a great down-to-earth little Cafe in the farm fields of Illinois. Heads up, cash only. They did have an ATM there for me though. Loved it!“

“Hyvee has a butcher shop cutting fresh meats and also carries a diverse seafood selection. This isn't Walmart where everything is prepackaged sitting on the shelf past the expiration date. Shop Hyvee! There is also a cafe inside the grocery store.“

“Decided to go here since I was on a vacation with my 3 year old son and they had a kids menu. Selection was good and prices were solid. My son got grilled cheese with tater tots and I got the Brisket BBQ Burger and fires. Burger was cooked perfectly and fries where fine. We also got a desert (s'mores). Mariah was our server and she was great, very attentive.“

“Overall, I found the pricing to be quite reasonable, especially considering the unique decor and theme of the resort compared to a typical hotel. The water park exceeded my expectations, and the same goes for the hotel restaurant and the arcade. The staff members were really friendly. The mini golf area and the villas appear really nice. Additionally, the proximity of a trail leading to Starved Rock, specifically St. Louis Canyon, right across the street, was nice. I also appreciated the diversity of the guests; there was a mix of thirty-something parents and a variety of others. Overall, everyone seemed friendly, although most guests preferred to keep to themselves, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Would visit again.“

“Solid restaurant with decent service and a nice atmosphere. The fried chicken was good and the portion sizes were solid as well. Only issue was that it took a really long time for the food to come out but other than that and maybe the chicken lacking a bit of seasoning, everything was great. Would recommend.“

“Meg is the best host. She has consistently been a great asset to our hiking community. We plan our trips for when she is bartending and serving. Thanks for her amazing service. We could go to any number of places to eat and drink after our hikes but we choose this one because of the great food and Megs service.“
