“Does NOT Recommend. I do not know what happened locally but quality has been decreasing over the years. Today, I ordered an 8 pc bucket Extra crispy with fries. Got home , with 2 pieces missing, the wings. Nothing was crispy even remotely. No crunch, crisp, nothing. The cashier was frindly and there was only 2 other customers. So me and my son was short 2 pieces and the reputation of crispy chicken. It was almost like more Original Recipe than anything. Disappointed. This has happened before at the other location as well. $29 wasted.“
“It’s difficult to find anything negative to say about Dave’s! It was our first visit and we were quite impressed.The food… well it was the star for sure!We ordered ‘Hot’ which is near the top of their spice-levels offered. Found it indeed HOT and yet so flavorful, which is what sometimes disappears with other places spicy choices.Dave’s flavor stayed intact with the heat!French Fries were crispy outside and fluffy and “meaty” inside. Excellent!Kale-slaw was new to me, but is virtually the same as Coleslaw and Dave’s is a great accompaniment to the spice, with nice cool bites. Pickles were perfect as well…The staff greeted us as we entered and were polite throughout our stay. They even came out to the table to check on us.The atmosphere is bright and new, somehow feels exactly fitting for the food being served.Can’t wait to visit again… soon!!“
“OMG. I love this place. It's so lively and warm. Chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had. We came here for a friend's birthday and service was great and split the bill across multiple people. One of my favorite spots around UIUC!“
“FADI and the staff are simply the nicest, best cajon chicken place in town, best Italian beefs, Phillies cheese steak, and I dip my cajon tenders in the mashed taters and or red beans and rice!!!KKC is better and cheaper than the rest, avoid the location in Urbana, different management, cooks, and twice as much for burnt food not good, rest of their stock is fine, they just don't cook the great cajon chicken right“
“The food was really good, but staff wasn’t very helpful. Only one guy was actually paying attention. I saw that our food was ready several minutes before we actually got it. There were plenty of staff working, they just weren’t paying attention. Maybe it’s because we were there around 8 PM? Not sureThe fries are unique, they have a yummy onion powder type of seasoning on them. I like the ranch, but the slim sauce isn’t my thing. The chicken is juicy, but not nearly as good as Chick-Fil-A because of the breading.“
“We got rose tteokbokki, 16 honey garlic wings, and pickled radish. I love pickled radish so 10/10 for that. The wings were crunchy, and flavor was nice. I've been here a couple of times and am always pretty satisfied with the wings. I also had the rose tteokbokki but was kind of disappointed. The flavor was slightly bland, but the texture of the rice cakes was not right. They were breaking apart and mushier than it should be. I had it before a while ago and I don't remember it being like that? So that's the reason it's at 4 stars instead of 3. It's a nice place on campus to go and eat with your friends. Has casual vibes and music is not too loud. There's a kiosk where you can order if you don't want to go to the cashier. It's also pretty expensive, and I was not super happy with spending that much for the tteokbokki honestly. Hopefully next time it's better.“
