“I had the Eel roll for lunch and it was very tasty. This sushi is definitely on the pricy side considering size and quality, but it was delicious nonetheless. Unagi was well grilled and there was a good amount of the sauce on top. They definitely could give you more wasabi, but they'll give you more if you ask.“

“I have eaten here three times now and I just love this place more and more. The omakase is out of this world. Ken is a true sushi master and the level of dedication and expertise can be tasted with every bite. The location is a bit of a hidden hole in the wall. The plaza is pretty nondescript but once you step through, the decor and vibe is full on authentic Japanese sushi bar. I am so tempted to keep this spot a secret so reservations won’t become too hard to get but honestly Ken deserves the shout out.“

“Not buffet style. Everything is made fresh when ordered. Since it's AYCE you will be charged extra for leftovers, a policy I support and feel is necessary to prevent abuse, so know your limits?

Vegetarian options: All ingredients for rolls are listed so finding vegetarian options isn't challenging.

Kid-friendliness: I went with a friend and his 9 year old son who loved it.“

1) They let you add or remove anything. Some cost an extra $1 to add but it’s well worth it. Most places don’t even give you that option, especially via delivery app. They took the time and I appreciate that.

2) THE PRICES ARE AMAZING. You get plenty for the price, too.

3) Their sauces are available to order on the side. The mango and eel sauces are awesome.

4) Everything was packaged very well for delivery. You can tell they took the time to select the right containers for the job.

My only criticism, which isn’t really that big, is that the rolls could probably be cut into 8 instead of 6. These are some tall boys! :)“

“I've been to lots of sushi places in Champaign but this is my new favorite. Everything is incredibly fresh, the salmon is the best I've ever had - noticeably better than some of the other places I've been to. The atmosphere is very laid-back and homey. The owner, William, is good-natured and welcoming. 10/10 stars.“

“I came from Bloomington looking for something a little different than I can get there and this was definitely that.

First thing you get in the atmosphere which is very fun for anime fans.

Food:
Veg gyoza was the shining star of the meal. 10/10. Veg yaki udon also very good though it tasted exactly like American Chinese lo mein. The taco was a cool concept and very delicious though a little difficult to eat. I got the sushi burrito and I see it's appeal and I enjoyed mine, but would try the soy wrap next time because I'm not a bing nori fan and it was obviously prominent in this (that's on me). Another shining star was the drinks. I loved that I could get milk tea with a milk alternative for the brown sugar boba (boba was PERFECT texture) and the peach milk jasmine tea was so refreshing and properly sweetened.

Price: Overall, everything was pretty fairly priced. We got so much here we took it home for second meals.

Customer service was awesome. Everyone was very kind.

Bathrooms were straight up savage. I generally only rate on food so that didn't affect them but it should be noted. Parking was awesome especially considering how bad it is in that area.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. It was worth the drive and experience and I'd come back for the drinks alone.

“Some of the best Midwest sushi available. I am really picky about tuna because I lived in Aomori Japan and I really enjoyed their tuna. The takoyaki is also authentic and very tasty. All of the staff is really lovely. It is a small space, but quite cozy. I miss their previous location, but everything here is just as good. Highly recommend“
