A little gem in Vernon Hills! My husband and I went here for breakfast and the food was fantastic and plentiful. I had an omelette and he had the Popeye skillet. Mine came with a side of fruit or potatoes and both came with a choice of toast, biscuits and gravy, crepes or pancakes. All for under $15 each. The service was also outstanding with everyone working there is very attentive to customers. The owner was very engaged upfront, which in my view is another sign of a good place....read full review
Garden Berry Cafe is an interesting breakfast. I had the Gyro Omelette and the Stuffed Pancakes. The Gyro Omelette had a little too much feta cheese but tasted fine. The Stuffed Pancakes are just two pancakes with fruit and yogurt in between. The pancakes were good but calling them Stuffed Pancakes seems like clickbait. Exceptional from start to finish! Got there at around 11:30 on a Sunday, and it was packed! Got seated quickly at the counter, and our server was lovely (attentive, but not hovering).
