The entire of the USS NEW JERSEY got to know about this place because the jersey is directly next to it . It became me go to hang out spot . Great patio. View of Lake Michigan especially during fall and winter. Sorry to hear the food truck is gone but Patrice does a great job with the limited menu specials . Always a great experience with her . Today I leave Great Lakes permanently and I will miss it and the people I’ve gotten to know there . “Really enjoyed our visit to MBC. Our bartender, Christian, was spot on. She answered my many questions quickly and correctly. A small mix-up in my order was remedied immediately. Good draft selection. (32 0z. option, mmm). Cheese curd sampler outstanding. The two of us almost couldn't eat more. Glad we did, though. Double patty smash burger, yummy. Three bacon choices, yummy. (Think large Steak and Shake, but GOOD). Fresh cut fries, battered fries, and tons of menu choices. Will be back.“

As for the food—the heart of any smokehouse—the kitchen was clearly in fine form. I opted for both the ribs and smoked turkey, and each showcased why this spot has earned its loyal following. The ribs arrived perfectly glazed, with that balance of bark and tenderness that only comes from skill and patience. The smoked turkey, too often an afterthought at lesser establishments, was moist, flavorful, and subtly infused with smoke—no small feat. Cocktails rounded out the evening, each one thoughtfully mixed and balanced, adding a polished touch to the rustic fare. If there’s one shortcoming, it’s the setting. The restaurant occupies a strip mall space that, while perfectly functional, lacks the atmosphere its food deserves. The interior and seating are serviceable but uninspired—a missed opportunity to extend the warmth and authenticity of the menu into the design. A bit more “smokehouse soul” in the decor would bring the full experience together. Still, those quibbles fade with the first bite of those ribs. BBQ'd Productions remains one of the best spots around for great smoked meats and hearty, satisfying meals—now with service that finally matches the kitchen’s skill.“

“😀Great food, however, the “build your own burger“was a disappointment. The onions tasted bitter and very salty. I got the worst case of heartburn from this burger! OMG. Otherwise, everything else is top quality! Be careful when ordering this “build your own burger.”🍔 I’ve never tasted onions so bad, and seem to be imbedded into the meat that tasted so bitter and awful salty. “Best gastropub in the area. The ambiance is absolutely perfect in the Firkin. The lighting, decor and staff makes every visit memorable. They have a great selections of beer and cocktails they offer. Their calamari is delicious and they have a good selection of shareable plates. As for dinner, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I've never had a bad meal. It is very obvious the owners put a lot of thought every aspect, from every dish served down to the beautiful artwork on the walls.“

“I have been here for lunch many times but rarely in the evening. We stopped in on Saturday night with the intention of having a quick drink however there was an amazing 80s cover band performing. There was a very reasonable $5 cover charge and there were plenty of staff so the service was fast and efficient. The cocktails were excellent and the whole experience was so fun!“
