“Breakfast any time. We had breakfast for supper. Very good and hot. Farmers omlet was very good. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Good prices. We will be back. They are only closed on Mondays.”
“Ok specials that I had twice. Only one waitress who gets pretty backed up, serving, waiting, answering the phone, handling carry outs, etc. You take your ticket to the counter to check out when finished. They do serve alcohol which made my husband happy. Their desserts look yummy.”
“One of the must-see places if you want to go for a coffee in Keokuk. The coffee is good, the pastries too.The service is impeccable, the waitresses are always smiling and take the time with each customer, whether to exchange a few words or otherwise.I highly recommend this address. My partner and I go there regularly with our eyes closed”
“I've only heard Great things about Southside boat club, I myself have only been here when the final construction was being completed before it opened to the public.”
“This place has come a long way, and happy they are surviving this rough economy, they always have sweet little treats, muffins, and to die for cup cakes. They always have a variety of different things and of course coffee drinks and all the like.”
“Had a great time eating breakfast with the girls. The food was great, the waitress was great. Coffee was always being refilled. We really enjoyed it.Parking: We had multiple vehicles and had no problem parking which was crazy because the restaurant was full! We didn't have to wait but I was surprised they had a table.”
“Best Mexican food in this immediate area. I would highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner and you will leave pleased with a decent experience. Nothing over the top in any fashion and the food is full of flavor.”
“Great food! Lovely people…even the customers there were friendly. If you’re non-local I would say don’t judge a book by it’s cover! I was not so sure when I first walked in but the staff was so friendly I couldn’t leave. When I got my taco and chimichanga for a reasonable price I was glad we stayed! Fresh tasting and unique! The people there are very warm too. You feel like family there. We’ll definitely go back.”
“Great steaksWonderful Bloody Mary'sVegetarian options: GreatKid-friendliness: Very nice hometown serviceParking: PlentyWheelchair accessibility: No problemDietary restrictions: Your choice”
“Waitress was friendly. Our orders weren't right the first time. Reasonable wait for fresh food. Small building so it fills up quickly. Small step at the entrance. Only takes cash but ATM in building by door.Kid-friendliness: There's kids menu items the mickey mouse pancakes are a hit with my kids.”
“Excellent place! I got the Chick-a-Boom (Omelette with Shredded Chicken, Onion, Jalapenos, and topped with Mozerella Cheese) and it was delicious! I also got a large pancake which was perfect. Fluffy and light and extremely big. Everything I expect when coming to a place like this! The service and atmosphere was so pleasant and added to the dining experience. I highly recommend! Check it out if you can!”
“Are you ready for a wild ride? Strap in, because Pete’s Joystix Rockade is not your average pizzeria—it's a carnival for your taste buds! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the aroma of freshly baked dough and bubbling cheese, like a warm hug from your Italian mafia uncle.Let's talk about the pizzas: They're like Picasso paintings— but edible, each specialty is a masterpiece of flavor. Whether you're a traditionalist who swears by pepperoni, or an adventurous eater diving into PB&J chicken wings, Pistol Packing Pete has got you covered. And let's not forget about the decor and great rock music. It's like a hot tub Time Machine trip to the 1980’s, with front row seats to Motley Crue and Guns n Roses. It's a feast for the ears as much as it is for the stomach.”
“Good restaurant, with a decent menu with some extravagance but there are classic things from an American-style Italian restaurantGeneral atmosphere good, lots of people, very famous in Keokuk, so you will always find someone you know.Service time is okTo have a good time with friends instead of a classic fast food I recommend this place”
“This bar has had many names over the years but one thing never changes, the friendly, hometown atmosphere. Great bar, great people, and the new owner Jackie is fantastic! Loved my slushie cocktail!”
“This place invited our Ragbrai team in for drinks and pictures. They even let us dip out tires there What a fantastic time! Very friendly staff and customers #BestBarEver”

“They were so fast and so kind. And the coffee was SO good. I got the peanut butter one and omg I have been craving it since but we were just passing thru ?Kid-friendliness: The kids loved their frapps!”
“2 Chicken Tenders, a bacon egg & cheese biscuit, & Lg. Potato Wedge w/ a drink cost us $16.25 when I got to the car I realized how much we were charged so as my husband pumped gas I took the food back in and asked for a refund. I was refused a refund and was told to call back at 8am to talk to the manager. There were 3 other customers in the store who also agreed that it was way over priced, and so did an older lady who was also an employee. Calling to speak with a manager has been a joke.”
“Amy really pulled through with 2 amazing cheesecakes. While picking them up we also purchased some amazing shortbread cookies. Thanks for making Christmas a bit sweeter.”
“I do the curbside pick up when I can but I had a filet mignon and it was tender and well seasoned! Was done on time. Great portions. Nice people to run it out to you. Can't go wrong with the fried chicken and plenty of side choices! I hardly ever go in so can't rate the atmosphere.”
“I have dug here twice now and I'll be back again. The owner is amazing and very accommodating. The digging here is not super easy. Be sure you have your rock hammer, gloves, and chisels. There are some enormous geodes here (I took one home that was 65#, but I haven't opened it yet) but be prepared to work for them. Lots of calcite in these which make them heavier so voids can be deceiving.Be sure you bring water and something for shade if the weather is hot. Other than that, you'll have an amazing time!”
“Great food, great atmosphere, and an awesome staff! Everyone was really nice and took care of us. Sarah was a rock star and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed!”
“Food was good, service was great. I never hear much advertising for the place but I Know they are one of the only ones to celebrate fat Tuesday n host an annual shrimp and crawfish boil!!”
“At first glance the place doesn't make you want to go back. But once inside and seated, the waitress arrived very quickly and very kind. Our meal was very goodBe careful cash only but good news there is a distributor”
“This local little bakery has been in the town since I can remember. They continue to help our community with their generosity and great baked treats. TRY THE CREAM HORNS!!! On top of being homemade.. they are one of a kind, they have limíted hours so make sure they are open before yoú ”
“My husband and I stopped off during the Nauvoo Pumpkin Walk and ordered caramel hot chocolate. It's some of the best hot chocolate we've ever had. They were having issues with the card reader tonight. I was impressed with how calm the girl who was helping us remained and how professional she was. If we lived here, we'd definitely be 'RePete' customers. (Sorry, I had to).”
