Family & Crab is a fun, popping, and spacious restaurant with a good, fun vibe. The food is delicious, amazing, great, off the chain, and tasty, cooked to perfection and above a lot of other seafood boil places. Specific highlights include the lemon pepper seasoning, the weekend special, snow crab, dungeness crab, lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, crab legs, and fresh oysters. The crab ragoons are highly recommended and the best in the area. The juicy sauce is praised, though some note it can be very oily. Dishes like the shrimp, chicken, and fish combo are also enjoyed. Some items, like the crab fries, are not recommended.
The service is really good, awesome, friendly, efficient, quick, and nice. Staff handle large parties well and correct any order issues right away. The manager is noted as being nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is enhanced by music and thoughtful touches like bibs, scissors, crab leg crackers, and a bucket for scraps. Some private rooms have TVs.
Drinks are a highlight, with strawberry margaritas, raspberry margaritas, pina coladas, and glitter mimosas all receiving praise. The restaurant can get busy and almost packed on weekends.
