“This place is awesome. We had high expectation for a crab boil, and they delivered🙌. We had their daily/weekend special and some appetizers, and all came out hot, fresh and delicious😋. We enjoy every bit of our food. The crab ragoons were highly recommended by staff because they are made daily, and the best so far in this area. We came in during the weekend, so the place was busy and almost packed. Although it was busy, our server (Asian with blond hair, sorry didn’t get his name) was awesome. We had issue with our order and he corrected right away. All in all, staffs were friendly!!!

“Thank you American Place Casino for the awesome Valintines Day comped dinner at the North Shore Steak and Seafood restaurant . The atmosphere was great. The fillet mingon was done to perfection and the South African Lobster was the best lobster I had in years! Every dish served from the start to the end ws excellent. Our server was outstanding as well. To top it off I won $250 freeplay on the hot seat drawing as well.“

“Delicious! We saw the recommendation on Dine In/Dine Out Lake Bluff /Lake Forest Facebook page. So we decided to try it tonight. We were NOT disappointed. Service was friendly, nice casual dining spot. Great bar choices. The meal was delicious - we had the skirt steak and the flavor was top notch. My meal came with 4 shrimp and prepared well, not spicy. The flavors were yum and truly can’t wait to go back. From reviews the seafood looks delicious. We will try that next time!“

“We've not been there since 2017 due to relocation but have nothing but fond memories of Dover Straits. When we bought our house in Grayslake in 1995, our realtor took us there to celebrate. We continued going, mainly for birthdays, anniversaries or impress out of towners, and were never disappointed. We have immediate access to super fresh seafood in Florida but miss the ambiance and supper club vibe Dover Straits provided. Loved that the owners always greeted us like we were worth a million bucks.“

“We came to Sophia Steak for our anniversary and had a great server- Carol. She took care to help me with my dietary needs and made the meal so special. They gave us a little champagne toast and special anniversary menus. It was all the little touches that make it perfect. And then there’s the steak! Next level taste, quality and sides. “This is really a wonderful restaurant. The price point is excellent and the value for money superb. The food was really, really good, and we all enjoyed our meal. The skirt steak, the lamb chops, the beet salad and the ceviche. The poached pear is something different (not sweet at all) and the chocolate cake was very tasty. And for 10 bucks you get a really solid pour of wine (probably around 9 oz), which is just unheard of in a restaurant. Service was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend you try this new place. They deserve to be more busy. It’s new and people need to get the word out.“

“We dined at Froggy’s on Valentine’s Day, and had a wonderful time! This was our first time ever here, even though Froggys has been here for over 40 years! The interior is warm and inviting and we were welcomed in and seated promptly. Our server Peter was terrific all night, personable, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was truly a delight! “This is our family's favorite restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries, dinners with large groups...At this point we've been here probably 10 times and never once have we had a bad experience. Every server goes above and beyond to ensure that you have a WOW experience. The food and drinks are amazing every time. Last night we decided to try somewhere new since we just ate at Primo the previous weekend. The prices were the same yet the service and food did not compare. “I just had to share how amazing the staff was at helping me out. It was the first time ordering online and I had unknownly put Wasabi in my bowl, which I had unfortunately believed to have been a bad bowl. I was able to communicate with the staff and they were so kind and were able to fix my bowl for me after coming out of work. Absolutely grateful to the staff and love the food, will definitely always comeback :)“
