“This restaurant is absolutely adorable. You feel like your are downtown Chicago, in some italian neighborhood. The ambiance is the best! Their food and pizza is absolutely delicious too. The pizza is the best around. The crust is thin and crispy and the toppings are fresh. The cheese is high quality and tastes fresh. The problem is the temperature of the restaurant. It's stifling hot. It's a small place, and always crowded. The stagnant air is unbearable. We actually had to leave early because I was feeling faint from the heat. I wish they'd turn on the air or something. The hot atmosphere, coupled with it being a smaller restaurant, and always crowded, is unbearable.“

“This restaurant is my favorite treat. The food is so flavorful, good portions, and has always arrived hot upon delivery. I love how there are so many different flavors between the dishes, so I can order a variety. One of my favorites is the butter chicken and dipping the naan bread into the sauce. Yum!!“

“We have been searching for decent “Chinese” food since moving to mchenry 8 months ago and NOTHING in the area was even close to being good. This was the first time I’ve had it since moving and I can FINALLY say we found the place. The egg rolls were so good, which is usually my biggest test on a place! The beef egg food young was also great, no big chunks of onions either. It was a good portion of ingredients, and the flavor was spot on. My husband had the chicken fried rice and orange chicken and he said it was really good - he usually says “it was fine” whenever we get Chinese, so this is a big compliment coming from him. The service getting the food was quick and still warm when we got it. I do remember coming here years ago, and remember it being really a great atmosphere and really good. So luckily with Uber Eats, we were able to have it delivered. I am thrilled to say I FINALLY found my go to spot!!!!“

“I had my wife’s birthday celebration dinner (party of 12) at 5:30 pm yesterday (located in the private dinning room). The entire experience - start to end was beautifully executed by the management and staff. An absolutely outstanding experience! The table was beautifully decorated, the room was very appealing, and very importantly the entire restaurant is acoustically set up to allow for comfortable table conversation (it’s not too loud).The waiter, Nate (Nathan), was very professional, attentive, and proficient. He had a great personality and sense of humor. The service was as good as it can get! The other’s assigned to our table did a nice job executing good service as well. The quality (in every regard) of all of our meal choices was absolutely superb! Entering through a back door into a narrow space was odd and not the most welcoming set-up, especially having parked on the street along Milwaukee Ave. The dining area was comfortable, aside from a couple guests who were loud and could be heard from several tables away. Service was good and pleasant though robotic and somewhat forced. The gentleman refilling water was superb and always on his game! We never had less than half a glass full---much appreciated! We came to Chrissoulas, having read excellent reviews. The food was good, including the pasta with chorizo and octopus and gyro. The pork medallions were only three, however, with a whole lot of salad, leaving one guest in our party inadequately full and value for the money poor. Menu options were overpriced in general though not outrageous. Two televisions playing sports over the bar did not seem in keeping with a fine dining establishment, but rather with a sports bar. Overall Chrissoulas was a decent experience with good food but not deserving of the amazing reviews seen elsewhere---a solid 3-4 stars out of 5.“

The flavoring of every dish is on point and it’s like every bite takes you through a journey of deliciousness.My family and I started off with chips and salsa. It was so much fun to try all the salsas they have at their open salsa bar. Next we ordered some Cajun fries, which had the perfect fry-to-seasoning ratio. Let me just say, the spice mix on the fries has just the right amount of kick! For the main courses, we took the 3 taco plate, kids quesadilla, and burritos. They were all so yummy, hot, and fresh! The one thing I can say is, I wish they gave more quesadilla. It was a pretty small quantity.Dessert. I recommend the fried ice cream. It is the best ice cream I have ever had. They used Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. It was so delish with the French vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream.Anyone that has the chance should definitely try this place! “Tokio Sake is a special place for our family. When we dine in person, we always find the staff attentive and friendly. You can also watch the sushi chefs meticulously preparing the sushi. They are prompt when we place take out orders. Most important of all, the caliber of the sushi is outstanding. We are a family of 6 and we all rate Tokio Sake sushi as the best in the area.
