“We've not been there since 2017 due to relocation but have nothing but fond memories of Dover Straits. When we bought our house in Grayslake in 1995, our realtor took us there to celebrate. We continued going, mainly for birthdays, anniversaries or impress out of towners, and were never disappointed. We have immediate access to super fresh seafood in Florida but miss the ambiance and supper club vibe Dover Straits provided. Loved that the owners always greeted us like we were worth a million bucks.“

“JAMES HYDRICK recently brought my fiancee back to my life, after we have been composed for 9years. We have stayed living favorably without any delinquent. I always converse about matrimony with her but she replies me with, And promise me that we will soon get married. I was shock on a faithful day when she called me and told me that she is no longer interested in the relationship, because she met another guy, and they were almost getting married. I was stunned and dizzy after hearing that from her. I was so drained and tried to get back to myself because deprived of her it was dreadful because I truly love her with the whole of my emotion. “We had dinner here last weekend, and as always the service and ambiance were outstanding. However, I ordered the special cut up version of their ribeye steak, and while prepared perfectly, the quality of the cut did not meet my expectations. At least 30% of the portion was inedible gristle, making the $48 price point a poor value. I would not order this steak again.“

“Great dinner tonight. Mexican Indian Fusion. The seasoned chips were served hot and Salsas were flavorful. Portions were plentiful and the prices were family friendly. You can choose 3 different street tacos with rice and beans for $15! The staff was very attentive as we were outside dining. And the waiter left us a pitcher of water for the table. It was most appreciated. We definitely will return.“

“We made reservation 8/20/26 to celebrate my husband birthday.The wait time was not long at all 5 to 7 mins. restaurant is classy elegant and made a great first impression for us as it was our first time dining here.Our experience felt inviting as if we were dining with friends truly perfect. (Heather W) our server made several recommendations we decided to go with the Calamari all I can say it was delicious pleasant taste and the dipping sauce perfect.Hubby ordered the steak It was super tender like butter.they truly invested in getting quality meat for their guest. I had the salmon cajun seasoning which gave it a perfect balance of rich flavor I personally love It.
Ruth Chris will be our go to for now on.Our waiter Kevin brought out our food we love the food and the presentation, Kevin and Heather W truly outstanding workers that we had the pleasure to interact with .The special touch on the birthday cheesecake with fresh fruit a single candle lit.added that special classy touch.

“I’ve been going to Tokio Sake for last 10 years. The food is amazing and the variety of Sake to choose from, the Chefs are creative and consistent . Not many places carry bluefin tuna but Tokio Sake does. Sashimi is fresh and kitchen entrees are outstanding.“

“I really really liked this place. The food was great good. Mashed potatoes lime my mom made(and she made food mashed potatoes:) The steak kabobs were amazing. Tender and perfectly cooked. The drinks were both generous and flavorful at prices that beat the local area(same for the food real value).
Amazing time with the piano player. Am I using AMAZING to much...well, for me was the best night In a week of Chicago area including a Michelin mention downtown (for me this was better and honestly maybe 1/4 of the price).
Will be back next time I am in town.“

“Great place for a big group. My son’s soccer team had a team meal here. The server did a great job and was very attentive. The food was delicious, but my portion was smaller than I expected, so instead of sharing with my wife, we should have ordered two. Others in our group very much enjoyed their food. Great beer list and sports bar type atmosphere.“
