“We had Brittany serving our table of 5. They went above and beyond for our bachlorette party. Small Details made a huge difference. Bride had a white napkin when the maids had black. Hearts on the table. Free glass of their Dole and dessert. And when we asked for recommendations on where to go after dinner, the whole service team put together a list for us. Brittany was our waitress and she was so kind and friendly. Excellent service from her. Had multiple other workers coming to congratulate the bride. Food was very very good. Appetizer was even plated for us at the table.“

“We've not been there since 2017 due to relocation but have nothing but fond memories of Dover Straits. When we bought our house in Grayslake in 1995, our realtor took us there to celebrate. We continued going, mainly for birthdays, anniversaries or impress out of towners, and were never disappointed. We have immediate access to super fresh seafood in Florida but miss the ambiance and supper club vibe Dover Straits provided. Loved that the owners always greeted us like we were worth a million bucks.“

Booked reservations thru Open Table, arrived early and got seated right away in a cozy booth in the bar. There was a card and Anniversary placard waiting for us on the table. We were offered complimentary champagne to toast right away which was delicious. Our server Susan was outstanding and all the food was exceptional. We split a wine flight - loved them all! The pacing was terrific we didn’t have to wait long for anything but we never felt rushed. We went all out for the special occasion with soup, a starter, entrees, sides and desserts but would choose more affordable happy hour options to go more frequently. The menu changes four times a year (with the seasons) and all the calorie counts are kept low for the entrees which I love.“

“We arrived a bit early of our reservation (4:35 for 5:00 reservation). The restaurant was mostly empty but they searched for over 5 minutes to finally seat us. That is a bit long when finding a table in a virtually empty restaurant. Even if staffing is an issue. Never at any other restaurant have we ever been made to wait for a table that is available. Very disappointed with Red Lobster's seating policy. This happened to us once before at this same restaurant where we were denied seating. Food was good, service was good,“

“I have been going to this place for the past number of years and every single time the steaks are cooked perfectly. I actually requested “medium rare plus“. Cooked, char grilled perfectly. Highly recommend the cowboy ribeye bone in. All food, including the sides and even desserts are outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. “What an experience! I’m a BBQ snob and this place met my standards. My opinion: love the ribs, burnt ends, hot links, pulled pork, mac n cheese and chicken. Liked the brisket, turkey, sweet potato fries. Baked beans weren’t my favorite.
Now for my favorite part of the experience… out waitress Kylie (I hope I got her name right). She was phenomenal. She knew just when to check in and provided outstanding service. Best waitress I have ever had.“

You can choose 3 different street tacos with rice and beans for $15! The staff was very attentive as we were outside dining. And the waiter left us a pitcher of water for the table.
