Who raves about onion rings anyway? Raving about an onion ring is like raving about pump number nine at the Mobile on Ogden and being like oh my gosh pump number nine. It's the smoothest pump at the gas station. It's incredible. You've got to try pump number 9. You've got to try it. It's the best pump in the gas station.Ok pal, calm down.Any sane human is thinking yeah it's a gas pump and a gas pump is a gas pump and they all pump gas. If you've pumped gas on pump 1 or pump 2, it's the same as pump 9 or even pump 8. Pump 8 doesn't get enough love.But no, John went on raving about these onion rings like there were some mythological creature. A unicorn onion ring only available at 302 South in Wheaton and it's the greatest onion ring your legal tender for all that's public and private possibly purchase.So I caved.We went there to try the mythical onion ring.And my thoughts?Well let me tell you this onion ring is a cut above the rest.This onion ring was superlative.This onion ring could quite possibly bring world Peace.This onion ring was yummy.Never mind the fact that the food is yummy and affordable.Ignore the fact that it is centrally located in a lovely shopping area.Ignore the fact that the staff is friendly and kind and attentive.Ignore the fact that they have a lovely outdoor seating.And by all means, definitely ignore the fact that they have a wonderful beer selection, you most certainly want to ignore that wonderful, wonderful fact. At the end of the day, nothing else matters but how the onion ring performs.All of these high praise are nothing because the onion ring is superlative.Come for the onion ring.Eat the onion ring.Savor the onion ring.Be the onion ring.“
“Great place for a slice and a soda. The ultimate lunch spot for me. Wednesday BBQ pizza special is one of my favorite lunches. Being able to walk in, grab a hot slice that is enough for two, and walk out in under 3 minutes is one of the best parts about Capri.“
“Stella's is a DANG GOOD restaurant. While it is located inside of Fox Bowl, this is NOT a bowling alley snack bar. Their pizza is FANTASTIC, as are the mac'n cheese bites, and cheesy beef sandwiches. I am personally on a healthier eating kick, and their chicken ceaser salad is amazing as well.I do believe that they do delivery and carryout orders as well as of March 2023.“
“Five of us dined at the burger, social in early March. A nice restaurant nicely appointed. Food was excellent, burgers were great, prices were reasonable! Only one issue to be aware of: Like a lot of other restaurants, Burger Social uses a third-party app to make reservations. I find in general that these apps are not very patron friendly so be careful. I made a reservation specifically for the first floor at a certain time and they tried to put us upstairs in a much less desirable location because our table was still occupied when we got there. I told the hostess that I would wait for our 6:30 reservation. At 7 o'clock, the people at the table had still not left and I was getting a little unhappy as Burger Social has a strict 1 1/2 hour time limit per party and they were on their second hour. Finally at about 7:15 the manager walked up and asked the folks to pack up and leave, that they were over their time limit which they did. Wish they would've done that about a half an hour or so earlier. Don't really like standing in the middle of the restaurant for 45 minutes with five people waiting for a table to get emptied out.“
“Delicious Ice Cream, Great staff!. We stopped at the drive through at the Liberty Drive in Wheaton Location. We were picking up a few blizzards, and two of them were off menu requests (older/retired recipes). The manager (owner?), Rerish, took great care of us and gave us very good recommendations. He made sure we got what we were looking for and shared the recipes so the recipients would know what to ask for next time. The two blizzards were delivered, and the kids LOVED them. Thanks so much! We will be back.“
“Food is good, service is excellent, and atmosphere is typical of any fast food restaurant. The restaurant was clean, which is an added bonus. My only complaint is that our order was accurate. And if I really did receive the spicy chicken sandwich, I could not detect any spice whatsoever. But it was still good. The cheese curds, while good tasted salty.“
