“I moved to the area 6 months ago, my sister & I tried this place for the 1st time today. Even though it was a Saturday morning & very busy we were seated within a couple of minutes. Being it was our first time here we had to take time to look over the menu & the specials. We decided to share the West Coast crepes, & the Caprese Benedict, both were fresh, delicious, & plentiful, both of us even took a half of a crepe home, we also shared an order of bacon 🥓 which was thick cut, & not too salty. The menu has plenty of options to choose from, healthy options, vegetarian, meaty, fruity, etc. The one thing I would like is with their crepe menu, they have a few different options that are sweeter more like dessert crepes, & they have the West Coast crepe which is savory, my sister & I both agree that it would be nice to have other savory options for the crepes also. The service from the hostess to the waitress, and the other staff were friendly, & helpful, with the fact that this was our first time the waitress was kind enough to give us time to look over the menu & make a decision on what we wanted. P.S. I ate a flower for the 1st time! It was a garnish on our plates. The only thing I regret, is that I didn't take pictures of our food.“

“Their Take and Bake items are a must for quick evening meals. My go-to choices are any of the Lasagnas, Sausage & Peppers, as well as Meatballs. I am also a fan of the pizza dough, which I use for homemade calzones and their shredded parmesan. This is my favorite place for all fresh Italian foods. Zeppe's has been my answer to meet my catering needs as well; 3 years in a row. This is the perfect local market.“

“I was recommended this place by my coworkers and this is honestly the best chicken I’ve ever had at a restaurant in many many many years. Food is cheap, atmosphere is friendly, owner is super nice, they even have a selection of mild to spicy sauces that’s huge and some of them they even made themselves. That Yummi sauce sure is Yummy. “We often get their whole chicken dinners for carryout, delicious, excellent quality chicken with roasted veggies and Spanish rice. We do miss the cornbread and we hope that might come back someday. Hours closer to dinner at least one day a week would also be ideal, say 4 :30 maybe one day a week that when we do get carry out here it is an early dinner.“

They said whenever they asked Ricardo for something the only thing they heard was: No problem! OR… Whatever you need! And ALL of our guests complimented the food and most took home doggie bags. “I’ve worked in the pizza industry for 15 years and this is some of the best NY Style crust I’ve had outside of the east coast. Perfect size slices. I love the pepperoni and the BBQ Chicken. Pepper, cheese, oregano on the table and they offer like 15 hot sauces which is great because I like my pepperoni slices drenched in Valentina. The staff is always very nice. I’ve only been here three times and they make you feel like family. Plus two massive slice and a soda for $10 during lunch m-f is a great deal.“

Parking: Being right by the commuter rail station and by the library makes it a little challenging to find parking sometimes. Street parking is free and, after a certain hours during the week the commuter parking lot parking is free, and free on weekends. Not bad in the evenings, usually. Downers Grove also has a parking garage a short walk away with free 4-Hour parking during the week.

Kid-friendliness: They have a selection of fun drinks for the kids including icees.“

“After asking a bartender to remake an order, we were verbally and physically assaulted by the bar's manager/owner and multiple patrons of the bar. Physically dragged out of the bar, and then my gf was punched in the face twice by the manager. Then he and multiple other men punched and kicked me, knocking one of my teeth out. At no point did we put hands on any of these people, but they thought attacking us was OK. We spent the night in the ER and both have head and neck injuries. Also punched a girl in her face twice busting her lip open horrible that this place allows men to beat up a woman“

“Went there this past weekend. Food, ambiance and staff were excellent. The beer was really good. My only complaint was the cost of a mixed drink. $15.00 for a 4 ounce vodka drink is a little steep. I could buy a whole bottle of vodka for that much. Otherwise, great place for dinner or a good beer.“
