“we ordered miso soup, house salad, shrimp tempura, and a chicken teriyaki single. All of the food was delicious. The Chicken teriyaki was a little dry for my taste but thats because i love fries with my ketchup like i like chicken with my teriyaki sauce! so this comment is not meant to be a negative comment. It’s more meant to be descriptive. The shrimp tempura’s breading is more corse than other places but again definitely not a negative. just describing. “The food is fire with an extensive eastern euro & Asian fusion menu. Def need to come back to try more of the items. But the Balkan salad, Phili roll and lamb chop mangal was delish. Loved the eye for interior detail. I think they throw parties here and def need to check that out next time“

I suppose taste could feel unusual for the people unfamiliar with Silk Road cuisine, but that's the beauty of places like that: you can expand your taste without actual travel.“

“I almost never write reviews but this is truly a gem. My wife and I are huge fans of Central Asian foods and we've been to quite a few. Before coming here we read a review saying that this was the best Central Asian restaurant in the Chicago area. And we can confirm that that is 100% correct. We're so glad that we found this new Kyrgyz restaurant just 20 minutes away from us.

We visited on a Tuesday night but man was it packed. Probably because it was Ramadan. Staff was friendly. And every single dish was so authentic and perfectly eexecuted. We left with very full and satisfied stomachs.

Just for reference, these were the dishes we ordered: Beef skewers, boorsok, mampar soup, lentil soup, lagman, and eggplant salad. All were great as mentioned.“

Tried teriyaki sauce on the side and it was tasty but the veggies are all so seasoned so well that sauce wasn’t necessary and the meat was also super flavorful and marinated. Highly recommend. They list all ingredients and calories as you’re ordering so you can stay mindful! Great place.“

“Went in and love that its pet friendly. Had a good variety of hot dogs that I havent seen in other places, sandwiches and burgers, and bowls. I had the lemongrass grilled chicken bowl over rice. So good and unique flavors. The fries were crispy and delicious. Definitely returning with the pup.“

“Really good place! I was expecting generic Chinese but I was pleasantly surprised. I asked the owner if the egg foo young was made with real eggs, or eggs from a carton. He was kind of shocked at the notion he would use eggs from a carton and assured me it was made with fresh eggs and freshly-made vegetables, like he would not be caught dead doing it any other way. That gave me a good feeling about the place - he clearly had pride in what he does. We had a vegetarian and a celiac in the party and he was very understanding and respectful of their needs. We are picky eaters but were all very happy with our meals, which were really good. Big portions too!“

“One of our favorite go-to spots! Everything is consistently delicious—the rolls are amazing, and the chicken and pork katsu are hands down some of our favorites. They put their own unique spin on the sauces, and it really takes everything to the next level. Also, the salad and dressing are super fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend Hakuya!“

“Our order was ready 10 minutes early so we were glad we came early. There was one table of diners in a relatively nondescript dining room but lots of carry out orders. Our egg rolls were tasty but without the traditional Chinese fried outside. These were pretty greasy but had more meat than vegetables which was a pleasant surprise. They came only with a Chile sweet sauce and it added to the taste. Our potstickers were just ok and had a slightly gooey exterior. \nOur main courses included Mongolian beef which was much higher quality beef than most places offer. Nice flavor and sauce. Our noodle dish with chicken was also flavorful as were the moo shu chicken ingredients. \nPrices were on the high side but the portions were generous and the quality deserved it. The value was great and we would return.“

“My first time ever trying Thai food, my husband has always been a fan. I am now hooked, this place is amazing. I knew it had to be good when I pulled up to a restaurant attached to a home kitchen. We ordered the Beef noodle soup spice level 2, chicken pad thai spice level 3, order of sticky buns, crispy egg rolls and crab rangoon. Everything was amazing. Tender beef in the soup, fresh not canned crunchy sprouts, rich broth. My husband loved the heat and fresh veggies in his pad thai. Even after sitting in the bag for about 30 minutes after pick up the rangoons were perfectly crunchy thanks to the venting on the container they put them in. Perfect portions, quality, great price, clean, all staff wearing masks, multiple carry out options in terms of curb side pick up, going in, delivery etc. Highly highly highly recommend. Cannot wait for our next take out/date night.“

“It's a convenient place to dine when staying at the hotel. The menu is very limited and provides your basic food distributor options. The ladies who were bartenders my first week there were great. On my return trip, there was a gent behind the bar, and he was not remotely close to as friendly or prompt as the ladies (one was in training-1st night) .“
