I've been to many sushi places in and around the Chicagoland area without a doubt this has to be near the top of the list. There's outdoor patio seating which is really nice when you have decent weather. Inside there's not too much to look at in terms of decorations, but let me tell you, they saved all their money for the quality of their sushi! My family LOVES Akira! The food is fresh, creative and delicious. Their Tuna TarTar is the best I've ever had and their complimentary white fish appetizer is scrumptious. I can't speak highly enough about this restaurant. The service is friendly, attentive, and kind. They make you feel like family when you go there. If you haven't been there I highly recommend it!!

Very satisfied! The interior is surprisingly tiny and not much to comment on, but they more than made up for it with the food and service. They had one of the better pokes I've tried in the Chicagoland area. Sushi quality and freshness were also very good.
