“A very pleasant “go-to” for a meal. Food is very good. Service is friendly but can be spotty depending. Location at Wilmette Golf Course is very nice with large windows overlooking golf course and outside seating. In the winter, the fireplace warms the view. Recommend.“

“We had the best time here for an early dinner before heading downtown for a show. Highlights of the meal are the French Onion Toast and Ricotta Gnocci. They also have a mocktail menu which had some delicious drinks on it. Will definitely be back soon!“

“This was the best night out!! We went out with friends and shared multiple dishes (and so much wine.) The food was outstanding. The wine was so flavourful and we just kept ordering more. The Black Grape Crostini was probably the best I've ever had. Go here for a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with great food and team!!!!!“

“Many of the most beautiful meals of my life have been at Cellar Door. Their food, the atmosphere at the restaurant, and the care put into the menu and wine selection create a magical dining experience. We ate there this week for a special occasion and loved the steak, radishes, asparagus, and a lovely tortellini with subtle herb flavors. The bread and house-made pickles are a must-order. Perfect spot for a special occasion, dinner with friends, or meal with a book at the bar.“

“I love this place, they have the best pitas in the city. Hands down. They’ve gone through I think 3 chefs in recent years as our waiter was explaining. But we both had the steak Laffa sand which and fries. 10/10 from both of us. It’s a sandwich I could eat daily. Tbh I feel like they gave too many fries, but they’re still really good, and the mango curry sauce mayo thing they give is unique, punchy and bright. We thought it was a curry mustard but it’s actually a mayo (I think).
We also learned you can buy the pita in bulk which is a game changer.“

“This is hands-down my favorite bar in town. The atmosphere is always welcoming, the staff is super friendly, and the drinks are consistently top-notch. Whether you’re looking for a chill night out or a spot to catch up with friends, this place never disappoints. The music, lighting, and overall vibe just make you want to stay all night. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area especially if you love FREE POOL.
Plus i would say a Peach Martini or a Grand Love is a must try!“

“WineStyles in Norwood Park is a hidden gem!
It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a glass (or two) of wine in a cozy, welcoming space. The staff is always friendly, and the wine club is such a fun way to discover new favorites. Whether you’re stopping in with friends or picking up a bottle, this place never disappoints. Definitely a spot you should check out!“

“Big selection of wine and rare bottles of spirits inside. I had no idea we had a gem like this in the area. They even have some good bottles of Japanese whiskey. Can't comment on the food but the sandwiches did look appetizing. According to their menu it's 1 dollar oysters Monday to Thursday all day until they run out. So I'm definitely going over during those days. The staff were kind and accommodating to my dog on the patio. Select glasses of wine can start around 10 dollars. There are some happy hour deals centered around drinks from glasses, wine flights, and sangria pitchers. As well as a taco Tuesday special.
Paid street parking, on the first floor so handicap accessible, excited to come back during dollar oysters.“

“Andrés took great care of us and delivered an outstanding, professional experience during our breakfast.
Hands down, the corn empanadas are the best! Absolutely delicious.
The Arnold Palmer was one of the best I’ve had—fresh, natural, and nothing artificial.
The Lomito was super tasty, and the salad was refreshing and crisp.
The steak and eggs is the champ of breakfasts—just like Tango, it doesn’t disappoint. Having quinoa with potatos was a smart touch...e, CHE.“

“Atelier in Lincoln Square is a gem. Opted for the 5-course tasting menu on a weeknight—every dish was a creative hit, especially the Thai peanut rutabaga noodles and carrot gnocchi. The intimate setting felt like dining in a friend's cozy kitchen. Service was warm and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. Spent around $150 with a glass of wine. Can't wait to return for the full 12-course menu.“

“If you are looking for a really special food experience with a cozy casual atmosphere, this is an awesome place to visit. The chef, Ms Dani Kaplan, is the daughter of one of my closest bff. OMG! “The risotto in the arancini was undercooked (crunchy) and the pasta vesuvio and shells were bland. Atmosphere was cool and wine was delicious. Would be a good place just for drinks and possibly apps. Otherwise, there are so many other better pizza and pasta restaurants in the city.“

“This place is a real gem not to be missed. It’s unpretentious, with approachable knowledgeable staff. The prices are unbeatable and they always have some fun or funky wines to try. I love the monthly deep read nights, the atmosphere and music is always well curated. I just hope to get into one of their classes, but they sell out quick!“

“OUTSTANDING! What an amazing place that has been around and in the same family for decades. We all had homemade pasta including the gluten-free option and they were all delicious and authentic. We had just returned from Italy the prior week and it felt like we were still there! KUDOS to the family and Chef.“
“Wow! I cannot understate the experience I had at Jackman & Co. From the ambience, to the food, to the drinks - you can see the effort and you feel at home! Cannot wait to come back.
The star of the show for me was the Duck Confit Tacos - I’ll be dreaming of them until I return.“

“Tonight, the Wife and I asked for a table of 4, saw multiple tables open. Host replied with "Looks like we're not going to have table free for the rest of the night." Our 2 friends walked in about 5 minutes after us for a table, Host proceeds to not automatically deny them and asks the servers. Servers apparently had a problem with having another table until another server came worked it out. Finally, Wife and I walk back in to join our friends and overhear 2 servers discussing with the host about not seating anyone after 9pm (they close at midnight btw) Great to know that you wanting to close early is more important than actually doing your jobs and making easy money (we only got drinks and 2 apps) Pathetic, will not come back. Sayonara!“

“The food here is PHENOMENAL, everything we ordered was SO GOOD. We were in a huge group and we ate "family style" where we just took a bit and passed the dish down till we were all satisfied. My favorite was the sauce from the calamari with the potatoes from any dish. We also ordered the dessert, they were out of the vanilla one but WOW the chocolate raspberry was so rich and decadent.
Parking: Street parking is paid in some areas, free in others and very hard to find. There is a free lot down the street behind the "art wall", just be mindful of your car's undercarriage clearance because if you have a sedan, you will scrape getting in and out of the lot. Higher clearance vehicles (truck, suv) would probably be fine. There is a second entrance about 20 feet further than the first entrance that's less bad, the incline/ decline won't scrape your car so badly but it still scraped my car a little on the way out. The first entrance made me worry I'd lose my oil pan (I didn't, car is fine). Lowered vehicles have no hope of getting in or out of the lot without damage.“

“In a town known for great steak restaurants, EJs, is my favorite. Their steaks and seafood are outstanding, their sides and desserts wonderful, and their wine list never disappoints. Throw in a cozy atmosphere with wood paneling and the smell of the fireplace. The best part is the service. From the moment you arrive until you get back in your vehicle their service is unmatched with a staff of professionals who have been there for years. I highly recommend EJs and look forward to our next visit!“

“I love this restaurant and have been coming for years. It is cozy and quaint and just a special place. The food is always good (if you don't like crepes, there are a few non-crepe dishes, but I've never tried them) with a nice variety of options (vegetarian/seafood/chicken/beef). Decent wine list. I usually get the Nutella crepe for dessert, but be sure to ask for a steak knife to make it easier to cut through the crispy goodness. When the weather is nice, definitely try to get a seat in the backyard patio area. It is a calm, secluded area, unlike the usual Chicago sidewalk setups that leave you staring at car exhausts. The owner is often there, and it's great to get a chance to say hi. The service is always great without being 'fancy.' Just a lovely little neighborhood place with a French bistro feel, that I keep going to even though I no longer live anywhere near the neighborhood.“

“We dined at Froggy’s on Valentine’s Day, and had a wonderful time! This was our first time ever here, even though Froggys has been here for over 40 years! The interior is warm and inviting and we were welcomed in and seated promptly. Our server Peter was terrific all night, personable, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was truly a delight! We had Beef Wellington and Chicken Cordon Blue. Both were delicious and our overall experience was really great. We highly recommend this place and we will be back!“

“3 categories of 5 stars: food, service, and atmosphere. My first visit with 2 other "firsts" and one "vet"...everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was top-notch. No glass went empty or even came close. Recommendations were excellent, food was delicious, servers and wait staff helpful, courteous and smiling ?. The sage butter...my mouth is watering again just thinking about it. Thank you, C and C...I will Definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend dining here. Excellent. No room for dessert, but they all looked amazing as well. I looked at other dishes around the restaurant as they came out and want to try several dishes just from seeing them. Worth the price of $30-50 a meal.“
