“The restaurant is tucked inside a produce store, and let me tell you—this was the best Barbacoa I’ve ever had. The rice and beans were on point, which is impressive considering how many Mexican restaurants miss the mark on that. The grocery store itself was just as impressive. I wouldn’t recommend coming here hungry and trying to shop—it’s dangerous! From fresh baked goods to a small Mediterranean food stand serving some of the best Shawarma, this place has it all. “If someone were to ask me what is Dos Bros like,I would say that it is similar in concept to Chipolte, but better and a little bit cheaper. I live in Nashville where don't have any locations. I am hoping they will open here soon. The locations in Jackson and Shelbyville were clean with pleasant staff and excellent service. Highly recommend. Additionally I recommended Dos Bros to a friend who lives in Shelbyville. She and her son both loved it.“

They do sell out, so go early. One Sunday, I went at 11:30, no carnitas for me. I asked when I should get there to have some assurance of getting some, and the person said, honestly 9. So the next week, I went at 9.“

However it seemed as if the lettuce and tomato overpowered the steak/ beans & cheese? Not quite sure but something was off with the lettuce ? I really wish more people would support this establishment. It’s hands down the best hispanic dishes in the area. Not even exaggerating. All outstanding. If you want the meal option (2 sides and a drink), you can opt for pinto beans instead of the usual refried beans; rice; a fountain drink; and the 3 tacos, for under $20. It is a good value because the quality is good.“
