The drinks were just as impressive, crafted with care and creativity. Our service was outstanding—attentive without being overbearing—and we were especially touched when the owner came by our table to personally check in. He was so kind and genuinely passionate about his restaurant. It’s rare to find a place that gets every detail right, but this one absolutely does. We’ll definitely be back!”

“I used to eat here when it was upstairs & had a buffet. Liked that because you could go back & get what you liked incase something was subpar, you could always leave happy. Now it has all the markings of a nice dinning experience, but is hit & miss. Like a pingpong ball in a drier, it bounces from subpar to fantastic. Service can be spectacular one night & 3 1/2 hours another. 1 table can be getting great service while your table is forgotten. I frequent Outback & Grandview because your money buys you repeatability & consistency, not so here. 1 night I got great service & incredible food, but on the night I got bad service and cold bad food, I left in a bad mood feeling I wasted my time & money. I'm holding out hope because this week I got the chief's special & the crab legs were the best I've had. (steak above average) when they are on, it's unbeatable. When not, very overpriced. Still, I will keep checking it out for a while more.”

However, today they did something to make me a life long customer. I ordered a pizza to take home, On the way home I got an emergency call I had to go help with immediately. Sadly the pizza got left in my very hot car for 2 hours. I called Arts and asked a manager if they thought it was still safe to eat. They just were not sure, so they said bring it back and we will make you a new one, no charge. What!! This was not their fault. I left it in the car, I didn't ask for anything yet they stepped up to offer me a replacment . I live 45 min. away so I didn't go back, but their kindness was unbelieveable.. I am an Arts girl from now on !!”

“This was my first visit to the Lemon Drop in Anderson. They were packed at 12:30 & several were waiting for a table. I sat at the counter and enjoyed the conversation of my fellow diner because he was funny. I ordered the dbl cheeseburger, french fries, and tea~ my meal was served hot, fresh, and delicious, and with a smile!

“Found the restaurant on the Indiana State Parks app. We stopped in after earning a state park pin at Mounds. The view is amazing and the food is even better! We recommend the Piggie Plate. It’s a hearty tenderloin on fries smothered in their award winning gravy. Come hungry the portions are man-sized.”

First off, Bill was an excellent server. Very impressed.
The food was good (our group had pizza, shrimp fettuccine, and lasagna), but can use a kick up of garlic on the garlic bread and the pastas. The Alfredo sauce was very rich, which is good-just needed a bit more garlic salt. Again, lasagna needed garlic. Pizza was good-nice and thick, full of toppings...good pub pizza...maybe a little more pizza sauce would give it more of a kick in flavor. Overall, impressed. Will definitely be getting pizza from there again. ?”

“if you like the Edinburgh brand of tenderloin pounded with an inch of its life with a two to one breading to pork ratio this is a five-star tenderloin. if you actually prefer to taste the pork then it's a four-star tenderloin still good and nicely seasoned. the grillef tenderloin was also handmade nicely seasoned bit on the dry side. I preferred the grilled my wife preferred the breaded. my mom got a Reuben which she enjoyed. a side of fresh fruit that was fresh not canned. fries are coated with something, flour? I don't know what. I don't like those but they were crispy”

“Today was my first visit. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, the service, and the quality of the food! And the pricing! I had a western omelette and pancakes with hashbrowns, and everything came out perfectly. I asked for the hashbrowns to be extra crispy, and they were! I asked for extra butter, and it arrived with the pancakes. My wife and I were short on time, and were in and out of the restaurant within 40 minutes! On a Sunday! I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.”

“It was overpriced hospital food, not hot!! I ordered the Pot Roast with potatoes & carrots, it was warm with a brown gravy that was overly salty. There was no potatoes & carrots. I ordered Mac n Cheese as a side, it was warm and gross. The 2nd side of greenbeans w/bacon was also warm but tasted the best of the whole plate! If I had known there was no potatoes & carrots as the menu says I would have ordered mashed as a side. The waiter who seated us wanted an answer about our drinks immediately as he rudely hovered over and wouldn’t let us look at the menu. It took a decade to get our bill and pay. I won’t go back!”

“My mother, wife, and I had lunch Wednesday the 30th of Oct. and had a very nice time. My mother has been here three or four times and my wife and I two. The seating was very nice, the dining area was spotless, and the service was spectacular. Our waitress, Beth, was so very nice and cheerful. She gave us plenty of time to decide and asked if we might like to all share a cinnamon roll while we read through the menu. She came back with the cinnamon roll and it was so delicious! After a few minutes Beth popped back to our table and asked how we liked our roll. She then asked if we had made our choices from the menus. We had a few questions and Beth answered, gave a few suggestions and we ordered. Our food came quite quickly. I think a manager brought our food, as it seemed that there were a few other tables all being served at the same time. We all started having our lunch. Beth popped back in to be sure that our orders were all correct and that we were very pleased. We finished most of our meal and Beth asked if we would like anything else. Being that we were stuffed, we asked for a few boxes to take our left overs. She came back with boxes and a bag, asked if we would like carry out coffee or soda drinks. We declined and I asked for our check. The check was on par for many places and I felt an exceptional value for the quality and quantity of food. It was not just filling, but delicious and left me feeling happy and ready for an afternoon nap. All and all, we had a pleasant dining experience and I felt very happy that I was able to enjoy the time with my wife and mother in such a nice place. I feel that the atmosphere, taste of food, and especially our waitress Beth, made for a great day that the three of us will remember. It’s possible to create nice atmosphere, cook delicious foods, and employ a high caliber of employee, but having all three at the same time is what makes a great restaurant. The Toast has all three. The peanut chicken was really good and a unique option! I've never had that before! The Crab meat was okay. We set the number on the table ,which you could see it was just cleaned. Before we could get our drinks filled the dinners were on the table, nice hot ,and professionally cooked, and ready to eat. “My brother and I this past Wednesday had went here in dine in to eat breakfast which was actually pretty good, this lady thats one of the cashiers in the morning checks in on everybody in the dining room, Yes is a sweetheart🥰 I forgot her name 🤦 but some of you guys that dines in in the morning might know who I'm talking about but she made my brother and I feel comfortable also chatted with us for a little after asking about about our food, she's real sweet, and I tried the Nashville hot chicken for the first time, it wasn't bad however maybe I haven' tried a real Nashville Hot Chicken until I go to Nashville Tennessee LOL but anyways the food always have been good here, I haven't had any problems here. ❤️”
