Bloomington Bagel Company Reviews
Went into the college mall location today. First time ever going and was not disappointed. The options are a little overwhelming, but we were waited on by an extremely patient and kind person named Juno who helped walk us through all the choices.
Food was great, staff was great, an overall A+ experience.
I do wish that the company let us tip the staff via the card reader. Luckily I found I had a little surprise cash on me, but was initially a little distressed...read full review
Great bagels and smoothies. Efficient service. I did experience a snag this morning when the cashier took down my name. I gave her the correct pronunciation and specifically asked to not call me by another common pronunciation when delivering the order. 10 min later I had two employees loudly searching for me with my order calling out my name incorrectly. It is respectful to show common courtesy and use the customers' preferred names in a preferred manner. The food was delicious...read full review

Bloomington Bagel Company is a university bagel shop known for its variety of bagel and schmear options. The lox bagel and Reuben bagel sandwich are highly recommended. The atmosphere is casual, though service can be slower during peak hours. Despite this, the restaurant is worth visiting for its traditional bagels that are dense, soft, and chewy with a nice crust. The staff is friendly and accommodating, often offering to remake a customer's order if it falls on the floor. Customers praise the delicious and customizable bagels, as well as the local ownership of the establishment. While the hours listed on the door may not always be accurate, the restaurant is a beloved spot for both students and locals, with customers visiting weekly or monthly. The breakfast offerings are direct and familiar, and the staff work hard to serve the busy crowds, though the size and cream cheese allotment of the bagels can vary. Specialty items like those with cheese and jalapeños are highly recommended.
