“Home of the OG smash burgers. This is your classic Schoops. If you haven't been, shame on you. Anyway, it's an old school burger joint. They have green river if that is your thing. I can say that the Mickey I had here on my last visit was the best Mickey I have ever had. The service is with a smile and attentive. The soups rotate. If beef and barely is available the day you are there, get it. The Irish nachos are the bomb.“

“We had the best breakfast at Maple and Yolk! My partner ordered the eggs Benedict, and the dish looked so pretty! I ordered the stuffed French toast, and it was so good! Three pieces were definitely too much, but I was able to get a container so I could bring the rest of it home. The food arrived quickly, and the presentation made the food look as delicious as it tasted. The French vanilla latte was perfection, too! The service was friendly and attentive. This was our first time here, and it won't be our last. We found our new breakfast place!“

“Been eating here for years and recommending them for years if you want the best burger in Chesteron/Porter area. Some other favorites are the bacon wrapped poppers, steak or chicken flatbread, soups, and the only place I know that still has homemade pub chips. Just had my first ever minor issue with a cook on burgers and the owner addressed it and made it right. I am looking forward to their new bi-weekly specials to try some new items. Gastro 49 customers for life.“

“The experience and food is incredible. Scott could cook a leather boot, make it his style and I would most likely enjoy that as well. Once you try the bistro salad and see how well everything it pairs together. You’ll want to try everything he has to offer. They have a great team there and their staff really make it a great meal! 10/10 every time we go“

“Tavern at the lake was a pleasant surprise.It doesn't look like much from the outside.But the inside is very nice.And the atmosphere was unexpected, especially being in hobart, indiana. The food was great. Although I did think it was a little pricey for 1 person my bill was $50.00 with an appetizer and a meal.

I've given myself in 69 years. The cake was delicious and I will buy it again and this little artist that is working over there should really be acknowledged by the owner because she does really well with your cakes and I hope you treat her very kindly. The food was great. I would strongly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts. The bartender, Nikki, was Amazing! She made me the best Old Fashioned. Very smooth.“
