Let’s start with the steak frites. I’ve had them everywhere from Chicago to Paris, and I’ll say it: these are the best. Crispy, salty perfection paired with a steak so tender it practically whispered, merci. I came for the frites (my favorite), but I’ll be back for the boeuf bourguignon, which appeared as last night’s special. We ordered one for the table “just to taste” — and then promptly considered ordering four more. Julia Child would have wept tears of butter-scented joy. Service? Polished but friendly — like a Parisian waiter who’s actually glad you’re there. Drinks? Excellent. Company? Lovely. Evening? Perfect.
