He would talk about it constantly, he lives out of state now and I live a few hours away from Chesterton. We decided to take a trip for my birthday and get some food. We ordered pizza, and shrimp Alfredo. The bread that comes as a side with the pasta is delicious and the pizza was too. We’ll be back!“
“After a day of hiking through the Dunes, we were happy to find a restaurant with 4+ stars. The ratings were true. Our waitress was very kind and patient with our questions about the menu. She was prompt on refills and a delight to talk to. The food was good and we will definitely stop back by when we return in the summer for a new Dunes experience.“
“The manager was our server, he was knowledgeable and let me make a scallop appetizer into a meal. My husband had stuffed shells which he also really enjoyed. The ghost rider wine was very nice. Tiramisu was quite good as well. In all, a total thumbs up!!“
“This was an "accidental" visit. We were traveling on Christmas Eve and they were open. How lucky for us! I knew exactly what I wanted, so I ordered a small sausage/mushroom/ onion pie. My husband couldn't decide so he had our server choose from 3 options. She came back with a meat lovers with bbq sauce instead of pizza sauce. Both pizzas were excellent, and the service was super. I don't know if I'd have been so cheerful if I were working Christmas Eve. She kept our (very large!) cups filled with pop and checked on us a few times during the meal. And the price wasn't too bad! We'll be adding Gelsosomo's to our routine when traveling back and forth between Michigan and Wisconsin. Thank you so much!“

“Came here with my wife and some friends . At first it started off a little rocky , they have two servers one for wine and one for food . So we sat for quite a few minutes before the wine server came by . They do not have beer or cocktails and she didn’t offer any water . Then the food server came over and got us going with some water and appetizers. The bread was really good ! I liked the oil they have with it. I had the lasagna and it was by far the best I have ever had . The meatballs were huge and delicious! My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs and she loved it ! For dessert we had the fruity pebbles cheesecake, that was amazing also ! I will definitely return !“

“Pesto's is a hidden gem in Valpo. I've been eating here for 25 years and they have literally the best breadsticks on the planet. They are known for their delicious pasta dishes, but they also have amazing pizza! There are a few good pizza spots in Valpo (Greeks!), but honestly next to Giordano's deep dish, Pesto's is my go-to thin crust pizza place! Tip: They don't always bring their bread loaf and oil - ask for it, it's fresh and warm and served with a delicious Balsamic olive oil!“
“Ordered pizza for pickup tonight. Got large sausage and onion and bread sticks. It was one of the best pizzas I had in a while. Very great taste from the sauce to the crust. Bread sticks were good also.Service was great also no problem as it was on time. Did order pickup but the ambiance looked good . Will definitely order again when I am on the area. “Shout out to evening assistant manager at the Valparaiso Buono! We were there Valentine's evening to get a rainbow cone. It was closed, but manager offered to open a nd make us a couple. Wow, have to say excellent customer service! Very friendly and outgoing. We will be definitely be back!“
“Really great food, I’ve lived in Valpo for about 3 years now and I’ve passed this place so many times and finally got to try it, and all I can say is wow! Even getting take out the food was amazing! The fried mushrooms were great, and the spinach alfredo pizza is a must! Great prices for the amount of food you get. My only complaint is I wish they were open a tiny bit later.“

“Cute place, love the assortment of tables and chairs. The owners are fun - one of them especially is a riot! Love her! Definitely try one of the desserts while you're here - I love the tiramisu. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish there were a few more menu options, and the last two times I ordered the meatball sub I had to have them re-heat it because the meatballs weren't hot inside. BUT - when they were re-heated, they were great! :)“
