“Our ladies group plans dinners every month. We usually have any where from 20 - 30. This months event was planned for Thai District and reservations were made. I was looking forward having dinner here. When we starting arriving we were told they do not give separate checks. This should have been made known when the reservation was made. We walked out as they refused to do separate checks for us and left Thai District and walked down to Bru Burger. A big Thank you to Bru burger for serving such a large group on short notice and without a reservation. Our server Kayla L. did an outstanding job. Our beverages and food came out in record time and we were all served pretty much at the same time. Excellent job Kayla L. and kudos Bru Burger. Kayla, thank you so much for welcoming and serving us. “I was hesitant to eat at the hotel restaurant because I haven't always had the best experience at other hotels, but they knocked it out of the park. Pretzel sticks with the queso was yummy and the burgers were awesome. “I stumbled on this place on my search for a quick lunch. This is NOT a quick lunch place! I ordered their 'special'- a pulled pork BBQ sandwich with onion straws and coleslaw. It was a great flavour combination that was well cooked. The portion size was "just right" for a lunch bite (you don't want a meal too heavy before returning to work, right?). The server recommended the fries which were AWESOME!!! If you are need a non-alcoholic beverage to accompany your meal, try their ginger beer... I regret not ordering one to go.

“I love hardees, I actually don't eat it often though, because in the past the Plainfield location hasn't been the best. However the past few times I went, and dealt with Sue she was AMAZING best customer service I've seen at fast food in awhile. Since covid its been rough, but Sue made me laugh, and made the order a breeze she's really a shinning star. I'll be back pretty often if the service stays at the standard Sue set. I'm hopeful this is a turn around from the past few years.“

“I recently placed an order online at Burger King, and when I arrived to pick it up, I was informed that the shake machines had been shut down for the night at 10pm. Initially, I was disappointed since I had ordered two shakes, but the employee who handed me my order went above and beyond to ensure that I didn’t leave dissatisfied. She immediately offered to write down my name so I could come back at another time to receive the shakes I had paid for. I paused for a moment and asked if, instead, I could get a different item to replace the shakes. Without hesitation, she kindly requested approval from her manager and promptly returned with a solution.

What stood out to me the most was her genuine commitment to making sure I left happy. She didn’t just brush off my request or make me feel like an inconvenience. She actively sought to resolve the issue, and she did so with a great attitude and a smile. Once everything was sorted, she double-checked with me to ensure I was fully satisfied with the replacement items, which were of equal value to the shakes I had originally ordered.

I truly appreciate her professionalism and the care she took to make sure I wasn't upset or disappointed by the situation. Her customer service was top-notch, and she turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a positive one. “I haven't been to a Steak 'n Shake since they waited on you at the table. I have decided that I don't mind ordering at the kiosk and picking up the food at the counter. The new system eliminates the chance of a poor server. The food was good and the tallow fries are great. Both times I have been here recently, everything was very clean. The kiosk screens were even cleaned while we were there. Overall, it's not too much more than fast food but way better food!“
