“Our ladies group plans dinners every month. We usually have any where from 20 - 30. This months event was planned for Thai District and reservations were made. I was looking forward having dinner here. When we starting arriving we were told they do not give separate checks. This should have been made known when the reservation was made. We walked out as they refused to do separate checks for us and left Thai District and walked down to Bru Burger. A big Thank you to Bru burger for serving such a large group on short notice and without a reservation. Our server Kayla L. did an outstanding job. Our beverages and food came out in record time and we were all served pretty much at the same time. Excellent job Kayla L. and kudos Bru Burger. Kayla, thank you so much for welcoming and serving us. “They didn't let me down! Am from Orange County, Cali & went to the one in Buena Park since grand opening in 2005. This one in Avon, Indi is just as nice n clean. And the food is so so good. My fav the Chili Cheese Dog!“

“If you go in the evening they are usually busy. Every time I have gone, I waited a minimum of 30 minutes. The longest I've waited was close to an hour and 20 minutes after ordering. The food is usually delicious, so in my opinion, it's worth the wait. I will say that service isn't very friendly and is pretty intimidating the first time you order.“

“I just want to say how much I love the people here. It is a really hot day, and a homeless man walked in, he was having trouble even getting in the door. Holding on to it for a while to get strength to move. He was talk8ng to a lady at the counter, and she came out from the back, and helped in to a chair, then brought him out water. As she was walking away, I approached to offer to buy him a meal. She said no, she has already got it for him. Apparently, he does come by when it is bad, and she makes sure he doesnt go hungry.

I do not know if this is the company policy, the manager policy, or just the worker doing it, but it made my day. I am more use to people being forced to leave, but she treated him with dignity, and helped where she could. I am very much goinng to nake this a more common return outing, if only to support people who treat people well, no matter what is wrong with them.“

“I haven't been to a Steak 'n Shake since they waited on you at the table. I have decided that I don't mind ordering at the kiosk and picking up the food at the counter. The new system eliminates the chance of a poor server. The food was good and the tallow fries are great. Both times I have been here recently, everything was very clean. The kiosk screens were even cleaned while we were there. Overall, it's not too much more than fast food but way better food!“
