Ok, sort of mixed here. First, it is behind other buildings off the beaten path, but don't let that deter you. There is a sign by the entrance stating something like enter as a stranger and leave as a friend....and that's accurate. It was like entering a community food service establishment... filled with locals who like each other while welcoming the outsider...very nice. Driving through the state and was ready for lunch. Did a yelp search and found this diner just off the highway. This must be where the locals eat! The waitress was very nice and knew many customers by name. Food was excellent. My only regret was not having room for dessert! They had a nice selection of pies: chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch, and fresh strawberry. I also saw some pineapple upside down cake in their cooler. Best diner I’ve been to since Biff’s in Mooresville in the 80’s. Taylor, our server was the sweetest! Their breaded mushrooms are the best I’ve ever had. Ordered fried pickle app too and I’m glad we only ordered one because it was a massive amount. This place is wonderful.
