This place is definitely a hole in the wall. But just like most holes in the walls, this place is a little gem. Great food and great staff. You'll leave full and satisfied. Atmosphere is a little dreary but the food is the real star
Sam's Southern Eatery on Green River Road in Evansville is a hidden gem in the fast food service. The menu is huge, 52 meal choices ravaging from sandwiches, salads, chicken, fish and their specialty SHRIMP. This was my first visit and will not be my last. I ordered the 8 piece fried shrimp which comes with two Southern sides. I chose Cole slaw and green beans and both were excellent. First time, waitress really nice and the food was hot and fresh.Don't know what's up with this place but if they change their hours they need to up date the internet...checked to see if open said they were open til 9pm. Placed order for pickup and went to get it..placed was closed.. I call card company and will disputing this charge..
