“On one hand, how have I not reviewed La Pana yet? It's such a delicious find! But on the other, yay to having the opportunity to sing my praises of La Pana! Love that I get this opportunity to write down how much I love this small walk-up window at Logan Street Market. So first of all, if you happen to be at LSM in the morning and you notice that La Pana is open and has baked goods for sale, JUMP ON IT! I've visited a few times to find them sold out. I love the lechecilla donut, which is coated in cinnamon sugar with a Oaxacan vanilla custard in it. It's a small donut, but just the size it needs to be to be a fun morning treat. Also good is the rol de canella con lechecilla, which reminds me of the lechecilla donut but made with flaky puff pastry instead. The strudel and croissant were also delicious. La Pana also has coffee, and if you find that a favorite pastry is sold out, I highly suggest you venture inside LSM and see what Safai Coffee has stocked, since they carry their pastries as well. Plus, you should take this opportunity to also visit sister restaurant Foko, which recently moved out of LSM into its own building at the corner of Kentucky and Logan streets.“

Now everytime I stop at King, they're out of Apple Fritters! Now for Toni T's. Wow, no seriously WOW. This was my first ever stop at Toni T's. It was later in the day so there wasn't a lot to choose from. I bought a serving of Bread Pudding. Now, I hate cake like bread pudding. I love moist, pudding like, Bread Pudding. Toni's Bread Pudding is the best I've eaten in my long life. It was moist, full of spices, and melted in my mouth. I swear, if it was calorie free I'd eat it everyday! “True North was a happy break during our Saturday shopping in New Albany. My family was greeted right away and we enjoyed our drinks in the back room with chairs and couches. However, there's a lot of seating in the front room near the barista stand and it offers great natural lighting. The team making our drinks was friendly and pointed out their seasonal menu. I got the pistachio cold brew and when I asked about the sweetness they offered to tame it down a bit, which made it perfect. I wanted a cold coffee and having the pistachio flavor made it unique. “Barista Parlor is a quick and casual shop located in an office building. The latte and cappuccino were both excellent. The cappuccino was one of the few I’ve had in America that follow the traditional Coffee, milk, foam ratio - most other places just do coffee and milk. The barista was extremely friendly and attentive to anything we needed. We also had a jalapeño cheddar bagel that was fantastic as well. If you want a charming spot with great views and spectacular coffee, this is your place!“

“What a gem! I've been a couple times and have yet to have a bad latte. Whatever brew they use is absolutely delicious, and their wide variety of flavors leaves nothing off limits. I haven't tried their food yet, but look forward to doing so soon. We ordered a deluxe 8x8 grayze box today and it was divine! “Great spot to see local art, low cost entrance, kids creation space, and lots in the gift shop. While visiting the city, I stopped into this art museum. The cost for adults is $7 which is a great price. The ground floor is a packed gift shop with many kinds of items: books, jewelry, cards, toys, local craft, etc. Prices were typical for an art museum gift shop. On the second and third floors they had just newly opened exhibits. (There is an elevator or stairwell.) I got to see exhibits for David Gunn Sawyer and Lonnie & Twyla Money. The former had a series of wood pieces painted and sewn together into 3D tapestry looking pieces. I loved the textures. The other exhibit had a range of their folk art craft. I enjoyed reading about the historical pieces from the Money family and examining the studio recreation pieces.“

“I have been here twice now. It is a comfy little place, pretty perfect for a rainy day. The staff is very kind, I ended up talking to the person at the counter about local music for a little bit, which was very nice. I have not tried the kava yet, because I don't know how it affects driving ability to be honest, but the other menu items are really good. I really liked the ginger kombucha. It was a little spendy, but everything else on the menu is not very expensive. The menu has some interesting items, such as adding kratom, kava, and CBD to a smoothie. I will definitely be back to try some of that!It also has a zine library, where you can read zines while you hang. There's a really good selection of work by local artists. I am a zine enthusiast, and even still, there were a lot of works that I had never heard of before! You can also purchase zines, cassettes, and other cool merch.It is very obvious that they support local art in there, which I appreciate. They have events there periodically (music shows, movies, etc). I have been to one music show, and it was the perfect small space for it.My one complaint is that it is sort of out of the way.
