“Food was good service was excellent ( karen) while checking out my companion attempted to pick out a flavor of sucker when the owner said " what do you want you've picked through them all" we both felt this was rude and uncalled for considering she just started making a selection . Makes me reconsider going “

“Overall decent place to eat. Portions for price was very good. Service excellent. Food was good, breakfast sampler is an excellent choice. I'd eat here again when I'm in the area.Parking: Can get tight, get there early.Wheelchair accessibility: Would be hard to get in and out of front door I think.“

“First time there for my wife and I. Good atmosphere and seating, Kaylee our waitress was very nice and provided good service. Suggestions, I had Georgie's platter, they need to offer toast for the eggs, bacon and sausage, pancakes were very good! As I looked over their menu, I noticed that their chopped steak dinner was way over priced at $17, this was a lot more than Texas Roadhouse. We will be back!“

“My brother and I wanted to meet somewhere between Ft Wayne and Indy, to celebrate a birthday. As I filtered "breakfast 4.5+ stars" around the Gas City area, I got quite a few hits, but there was soomthin' about Phil & Cheryl's that caught my attention.Namely, it was all the reviews that mentioned the friendly atmosphere and good food at a reasonable price. We were looking for an unassuming mom & pop diner where we could have a relaxed conversation and enjoy breakfast together. We soon found out that this is definitely a favorite amongst the locals, and in conversing with our waitress, she has been serving here for 40 years and knows everyone by name. Though we were the newcomers, she treated us like old friends. So here you see the spread that we enjoyed: in the foreground is the Chad Omelette, which is 3 eggs and has sausage, onion, and hash browns inside and delicious sausage gravy on top. If it looks gi-normous in the photo, that's because it is, and is delicious. It is served with either white or wheat toast, and jelly. We each got a bowl of grits, which are on the right. You'll notice that these grits are made with yellow cornmeal, which is a departure from what I'm used to, but nonetheless delicious and was served piping hot.In the distance is the Trash Can Panda omelette, which is also humongous and has a variety of meats and bell pepper. At the center of the table are three slices of fried mush which each are about the size of an iphone... much larger serving than I expected. So needless to say, after a nice long chat (our waitress made sure to keep our coffee cups topped off) we waddled out of there quite satisfied.Hats off to the kind folks that run this place! By the way, this is a cash or check restaurant.. they don't take plastic. No problem for us though!“
