“They don't make them like this anymore - literally. The building housing this small tavern in tiny Gosport was built in 1835. It's definitely not fancy, and much of the decor looks original. It does feature a very nice old wooden bar. The bar food was simple but very well prepared.“

“This is the first time I visited the Village Inn since they moved from their old building. I must say, it was a pleasant experience. There was a line at the door before they opened and we were maybe 6 or 8 people back from the door. Regardless of the fair amount of people there, our server was ON IT. Service was quick, friendly and the atmosphere was nice and clean. The food was also very good, and not super expensive. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice diner without a lot of pretense.“

“The Food !!! I recommended the food. Prices aren't bad either. With the sandwiches you can either get 2 sides or 1 side and a drink. I only ate half a sandwich and half of the fries and I was full !“

“Great service and excellent food! If you want comfort food, this is the place to go. I had the Cuban with a side of mixed veggies. Their in-house mustard and poutine are amazing.“

“I took a couple of friends there yesterday and we all were very happy. One ordered 1/4 chicken, another got the ground sirloin steak with onions and mushrooms. I got the ham. The sides are wonderful, especially the green beans, excellent! My wife was in Texas but I told her that when we get moved back to Bloomington next month, we'll patronize these folks again. The couple and I have been there before, many times and never had a complaint. Their food is always good, no complaints. I enjoy the decor also. We also had a very acomadating waitress, sorry, I forgot her name. We'll be back.“

“This convenience store is close to my new home and they have all kinds of goodies. Gas, snacks, drinks, live bait, alcohol, and the cutest restaurant attached you'd ever want to see. They also have the new Owen County need paper that I absolutely love!!“
